FireBeast
If you look even closer you can see it is the former Paramount map. At the entrance you can still see the Paramount logo right in front of the fountains.
Guest KINGSISLANDMASTER
thats really interesting. You can toatly tell that they just used an old map because, you can see the old drop zone sign still their, and it looks like they just put a copie of Firehawk on the map because it not even connected with the pathway or the park.I really hate the way they make the maps it so not the way the park really is. It is a mystery why KI used the old PKI map. It's a bigger mystery why one can't use spell check.

DropZone99
On the 2006 Fearfest park map SOB is not on it but if you look at Top Gun, near the end of the ride they forgot to take out SOB's track there for some of the turn from the brake run to the station is still there while the rest of the coaster is removed. And most people already know this but Vortex's train is backwards on all the recent park maps.

The Interpreter
Gee whiz. The park saves money where it can and uses it to install such things as Diamondback. Would you rather have perfect maps instead?

Would you rather have perfect maps instead? oh, i was just saying how you couldn't really tell it but when you looked really close to the details of the map you could. i wasn't saying they need to update i just thought it was interesting. The Interpreter
I am not in any way criticizing, I am only pointing out the park does have a budget, and the same money spent on thing one can't be spent on thing two. Guest safety, employee safety and infrastructure maintenance are of the first priority. Everything else competes for money--from labor to capital expenditures to marketing to insurance to costs of supplies and services (including utilities) to yes, even maps.
