bzahlong
While the weather just barely cooperated, it was a great time at Kings Island for the KIC crew and our special Diamondback tour. I enjoyed meeting some great people from here, and it was a lot of fun getting a sneak peek at the ride up close and personal. I took a couple of photos, I'll try and post the ones that are a little different than all the other great shots I've seen on here already. I am looking forward to getting to know you guys better this summer and on here. Thanks to Dane and the KIC folks that make this stuff happen. I know it's a lot of work and preparation, and I'd like to say I appreciate it. Thrill_Biscuit
Very impressive photography! I cannot wait to see this thing in person! Your use of nearby buildings, trees and other attractions (esp. the Eiffel Tower) shows the size and scale of this new monster very skillfully! Excellent 'under the lift hill' shot! Awesome PTR. Thanks.
standbyme
Matt, I kind of thought I was the king of being a long-time member who hardly posts…but you make me look like I am The Interpreter! I can not believe that you have been a member since 2005 and you have only posted 9 times. (Yes Mrs. Bueller, NINE times!) Your photos are so good I thought you would have been doing photo trip reports all of this time instead of lurking…do you not visit the park that often…or do you just have more of a “real” life?! I especially liked this shot of yours: Thanks for sharing your photos!

I especially liked this shot of yours: Thanks for sharing your photos! Post #10! I have lurked here for a long time, and I've always enjoyed reading all the great stuff on here. After I stopped working up at the park I really didn't visit much. I went three times in 2006, once in 2007 and once in 2008. After getting in for free for twelve seasons it's tough to have to buy a ticket (or season pass). We are buying passes this year, I'm ready to spend a lot more time at the park in 2009, and my daughter is finally old enough that I don't have to hang out all day in Boomerang Bay or Nick Universe. That's the other reason for a lack of PTR's, I don't bring the good camera normally and we tend to hang out by the pool all day. Not too interesting, and people look at you strangely walking around the waterpark with a big camera. I can't say I have that much of a real life, any more than anyone else on here. I'm just a lapsed coaster junkie who's ready to get back in the game. Glad you liked the photos. -Matt
Avatar
bzahlong – Thanks for taking the time to do a report, it's good to that you'll be getting back in the game. I am sure with your background you have a lot of valuable knowledge and will provide that information when needed and when it's appropriate. Look forward to hearing from you and hopfully see you more at the park.
