specialk141
hello.... just wondering if anyone would be interested in going in on a 4 pack of platinum passes. i know its not much, but the twenty dollar savings sure would be nice in this crappy economy we are living in. 150 sure beats the heck out of 170. let me know. thanks, kevin
violakat03
When are you looking at getting them? I plan on getting mine at the beginning of April, if you haven't gotten yours by then I'd be happy to join in the 'group buy.' Cause you're right, and $20 is a tank of gas. tigellinus
$150?....$170?!?!...how come mine was $140??
violakat03
Cause you bought yours in the fall. I didn't have the money for mine before the price went up.
74Gibson
Prices are 160 individual and 150 family four pack. I checked their site to confirm they haden't risen.
The Interpreter
That's the online price. Sometimes online prices are lower than in park prices. And prices typically rise as the season gets closer or goes on, though it would not surprise me if they did not this year, given the economic situation. Racerrider
^already bought mine in November, but if you had a platinum pass last year, what they do is just re-scan the barcode of that pass, and you use the same one, so remember to bring your '08 pass! gigacoaster2k
$150?....$170?!?!...how come mine was $140?? $140 was the renewal price when they had the special going on last year.. I renewed mine in September because I knew the price wasn't going to drop any lower than that. I also got a SF season pass for the one day only special price of $35.99 ($4 less than a ticket at the gate, and $9 less than the regular pass price, plus the pass comes with 5 free tix and a coupon book). This is why it helps to subscribe to park newsletters.
The Interpreter
And MY Six Flags pass cost me about four times that...but includes parking at every Six Flags park and came already processed. Not to mention it helps support one of my favorite parks on the planet...well, at least until the sale.

The Interpreter
Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. And parking passes good at all other Six Flags parks are not available there. At Six Flags, you can only purchase a parking pass from the park that issued your pass. And Six Flags Over Georgia, which also offers great pricing, does not sell parking online. Your pass must also be processed at the park on the pass. And your voucher will not get you in other Six Flags parks, only a processed pass is supposed to. Six Flags Great Adventure processes the fall before, most of the others do not. So, in my pocket is a processed 2009 Six Flags Great Adventure pass....it cost me substantially more than many of the Six Flags alternatives, but it is processed, includes parking and allows me to both support my favorite Six Flags parks and to avoid that long, long processing line on opening day of whatever Six Flags park I hit first. tigellinus
^^So you know for sure Giga got her's at SFKK, or was that just by deduction based on the pass price?? And btw, for the reasons Terpy mentioned, SF St. Louis is the way to go for a "Season's Pass"!!
The Interpreter
I am basing it on the pricing. I am not aware that price was offered at any other Six Flags park, though it may have been. And given that I hit Six Flags early each season, Six Flags St Louis has never been an option for me, given their opening date. Do they now process the season before? They haven't in the past. tigellinus
^^No, but I was just saying that the SFStL SP pricing is similarly cheap to KK, BUT with the parking pass option! But I see what you're saying about the season, as I've never hit the suth'urn parks in Feb or March.
violakat03
Terpy, in your infinite Six Flags wisdom, do you know if Six Flags America (near D.C.) sells parking passes? That's probably where I will get my pass, as it's the same price as SFKK but close to my brother's place and opens earlier. Though I really want to get the parking pass, so I may go out of my way to get to SFGAm if they have parking.

How did you find that so fast when I spent an hour searching all over not only SFA's site but also other parks and the main site for word of a PP? This was a couple weeks ago though so maybe it was just a recent addition and I'm not really that blind after all.
tigellinus
It's ok...on the SFA site, click Get Tickets on top right side, then click "Season's Passes", then at the very bottom after all the SP mumbo jumbo, right below the SP price is the PP price. I don't think the PP has it's own, like, web page if you know what I mean...
violakat03
Yeah, that definitely was not on that page the last time I looked at it, because I saw it there on SFOG's site and then looked at SFA's to see if they had it also. I'm hoping that's the same as the one sold at SFOG and is good at all parks.
violakat03
To the OP - I just found a discount that doesn't require a group buy. If you or someone you know has a 2009 entertainment book, there is a coupon at the end of the travel section for $10 off up to 6 platinum passes. I'm going to use that to buy mine and my husband's I think. That way you don't have to have 4 people all together, you can just buy yours and get $10 off.
