The Interpreter
...The 17-acre Cedar Fair-operated waterpark said the focus this summer will be the on the Waterfront Plaza, a landscaped area that borders Geauga Lake. "With more than 100 lounge chairs, the Waterfront Plaza will be a prime location to catch a few rays, nap or enjoy the scenic lake views while re-energizing for another round of waves and water slides," the operator said. "It will also have food carts, a dining area with umbrella tables and three shade structures."... Also known as no new rides. Again. 100 chairs, food carts, some landscaping and three shade structures. One can't help but wonder if history is future. http://www.interpark.co.uk/news/2012/wildw...or-this-summer/

The Interpreter
Of course people and companies are willing and able to buy land. The question is price. If Cedar Fair were to offer the property for a penny, it would sell. Two cents? Sure. But the price they want? Maybe not so much, if ever. And, since Cedar Fair has pledged virtually all of its real property as collateral for its debts, the creditors would also have to agree to any sale (and would probably get most if not all of the proceeds).
