At the end of the day at KI, do they take all the roller coaster cars and but them back in their storage sheds?

EDIT: in the beginning of the season when they aren't open everyday they do put the trains in their sheds, if they had one.

When they had the campground I used to camp there a lot and was right next to Flight Desk sometimes camping and never saw them park a train on the lift at night. Secondly, Vortex has storage for 2 and I am guessing the 3rd train stays in the station. Flight Deck has storage track for both trains if I am not mistaken.

For FD though, I still don't understand why they would not run a train around the track and leave it on the brake run and leave the other in the station? There has to be a reason for that?

I think I remember hearing something about the air brakes on the brakerun vs. the train being secure on the lift.

When I worked at Flight Deck also they indeed parked one on the lift about half way up and one in the station. I don't ever remember hearing why they did this but after all of the training instruction while being trained to "drive" and learning about the brakes blowing and what would happen, I'm sure the train would be much safer on the lift.

Not every ride places it's trains in the storage sheds. The Arrow roller coasters use a different kind of air "pinch" brake than roller coasters like The Beast or The Racers. At the beginning of the season, the only reason they'd place a trains on the storage tracks for AE, TG/FD, and Vortex is if ridership is so slow only two trains or needed or one train has problem. Due the air compressors of Arrow roller coasters being emptied every night one train is always parked on a lift and the train in the station is secured via a latch and chalking system. On Adventure Express one train in the station, one on the brakes before the station and one on the second lift hill. On Vortex it's just as TG93 said; one on the lift, one in the station, and one on the brakes before the station. Top Gun/Flight Deck: Station and lift.

As far as the other roller coasters that she can remember:

The Beast - The crew takes all three trains off every night after closing and puts them back on in the morning.

The Racer - One train in the station, one train in the storage shed (It's been a few years, she thinks this may have changed).

The Beastie/FOC - One train in the station, one train in the storage shed (she thinks this one may have also changed since she left)

Son of Beast - Station and brakes before the turnaround into the station.

Flight of Fear - One train in each station, one on the brakes before the exit station when it ran three trains.

King Cobra - She doesn't seem to recall this one specifically but believes it was the station and brakes directly before the station.

^Actually Son of Beast has changed since she has worked there. I worked there this past season and they now go into the storage track which is right next to the ready breaks. Every night a maintenance man would have to come to our ride after we closed up and park the trains in these spots then we could finally shut off the ride.

BLSC simply parks them in the station, unload, and transfer/ready brakes.

I agree.. I never knew any of this. When I worked at Reptar we parked the one in the station and shut it down for the night...... It's nice to learn all this.

You are right and wrong...

Correct on the air compressors on AE and the chalking system used when parking the trains for the night.

Incorrect on where they park them for AE, it is actually a train on each lift and one in the station.

Wait, doesnt the park start testing the coasters an hour or two before the park actually opens to the public? So really, the trains are only sitting for about 10 to 10 1/2 hours.

If you want to get technical. Then yes, the trains do sit there for 10-10 and 1/2 hrs.
