Record Breaking Crowds For Spring Break At SFOT

Featured Replies

Six Flags Over Texas, the Entertainment Capital of Texas, and the parent company's flagship park, announced today that Spring Break Out saw its largest one week attendance in the history of the event. The great value and close-to-home entertainment escape proved to be a hit with families and thrill seekers alike over the week of March 14-22.

Six Flags Over Texas extended hours all week long for headline entertainment including live and local performances featuring more than 25 bands from around North Texas and a special concert from Sean Kingston. Attendance was driven by the popular online "Everyone Pays Kid's Price" offer and the sale of Season Passes....

An aside: So, now SFOT is the flagship park?

^^For the Texas market during the Spring Break season...of course!! ;)

While the 09 park season still seems TBD...I really have a feeling it's going to be ridiculously successful! Hopefully boding well for future cap ex!

I agree about the upcoming seasson being successful. Folks are ready for a little joy and relaxation in their lives and the majority dont have the money to go too far away. Once again like last year amusement parks will be great quick trip vacations or staycations as it has been coined.

^^Yes, BUT if gas prices can be even remotely sane (like under $3), then that will help a lot as well!!

Gas in FW was down to 1.89 abt two weeks ago. Went up to 1.99 last week and now is back to 1.89 I get to work at 7:45 so it may have gone up since.

I am betting on strong attendance at the parks this year for all the reasons I have said plenty of times in other forums :)

Speaking of which, gasoline went up 16 cents a gallon in these precincts, just this morning...

Last night in Indy (already among the highest in the nation due to being one of the few states to include sales tax, which is 7%) it was $1.99....it's going up again eventually, but I'm just hoping to keep it under $4.
