April 5, 200917 yr Ok I don't know if this is just me or do some of Ki's Go Karts in Thunder Alley have bad malfunctions. I remember the last time I drove them the cars I've gotten into did not have good brakes at all. This lead to some not so great collisions
April 5, 200917 yr I've never actually driven any of the cars, but I do think they look very fun and I really want to. I just think it is too expensive. I hope you report the cars that you drive if they don't have good brakes so the problem can be fixed.
April 5, 200917 yr I don't get to KI as much as some of you unfortunately, but I got several times a year and all of which time I was in Action Zone- Thunder Alley had no rides. The ride operators just looked Desperate for someone to come ride. If it's bringing in more money than it's costing to operate, keep it. But if it's just wasting money- remove it and get something different. A new restaurant, some used flats from Geauga Lake, anything!

April 6, 200917 yr With all due respect to the park, if they are going to have an upcharge attraction, the least they could do is maintain the cars properly. Sigh.
April 6, 200917 yr Well, in their defense, sometimes they may not know about a defect unless they are told about it. The pedal boats at Coney are a prime example of that (as are the bumper boats). Sometimes the steering mechanism gets reversed (ie left actually turns right and right turns left) or it breaks all together. Often times we as ride ops only find out about this by guests telling us. Likewise, the same is true of bumper boats. Sometimes the throttles break and you can`t go faster than the normal idol speed. This is usually easier for us ride ops to spot than broken steering on the pedal boats. I`m not saying that the ride is or isn`t well maintained (its been several years since I last rode that attraction), but sometimes the park will simply not know something needs to be fixed until someone tells them about it.
