BoddaH1994
On Friday, May 15th Kings Island held a press conference to support the ASA World Tour's stop at Kings Island over Memorial Day Weekend at the park. Adults and children alike came out to show their support of these professional extreme sports and to catch a glimpse of some of their favorite BMX and skateboarding stars. Associates worked the crowd to as they anticipated what was to come next... The lights dimmed and everyone's attention was directed towards the Festhaus's monitors. With a burst of confetti, X Games stars John Parker (BMX) and Danny Mayer (Skateboard Vert) were brought out much to the delight of the fans. Don Helbig, PR Area Manager for Kings Island, interviews Parker and Mayer, asking questions about how they got started as well as the different challenges associated with their sports. Following the interview, Parker and Mayer stuck around to meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photos. Don't forget to catch the ASA Action Sports world tour as it visits Kings Island on May 23rd and 24th. Sunday the 24th features a FREE concert by Collective Soul. All activities are FREE with park admission.

Hoeter
This probably answers the question as to why the park was a madhouse on Friday....
