May 5, 200323 yr What the park does with its partners is none of my business. After all, I am a park guest - not an employee or vendor. But, I wouldn't mind if PKI traded Huntington Bank for Fifth Third Bank because I have banked with Fifth Third Bank ever since the day I moved to Kentucky 8 years ago. And I am very fond of Fifth Third Bank Additionally, I wouldn't mind if PKI traded LaRosa's for Sbarro as I like Sbarro's pizza much better than LaRosa's. In the Greater Cincinnati Area, Sbarro makes pizza that is closest to New York style. Hey folks.......these are just my preferences.
May 5, 200323 yr I would love it if they dumped Coke and picked up a new hot chick in Pepsi. except for the sprite remix. have to keep that.
May 5, 200323 yr I would love it if they dumped Coke and picked up a new hot chick in Pepsi. except for the sprite remix. have to keep that. No way! Coke rules...Pepsi is gross !
May 5, 200323 yr Additionally, I wouldn't mind if PKI traded LaRosa's for Sbarro as I like Sbarro's pizza much better than LaRosa's. In the Greater Cincinnati Area, Sbarro makes pizza that is closest to New York style. If the park had Sbarro's instead of Larosa's, you'd be waiting quite a while longer to eat. Part of the reason for having Larosa's is due to the ease and quickness of making it. It would take a little while longer to make New York style pizza.
May 5, 200323 yr I think the Huntington Bank thing we are stuck with. I'm sure most people in Cincinnati would love Fifth Third since its the local company, but PKI has accounts with Huntington Bank. Pretty sure its a corporate account so its not like PKI can just up and change. The whole corporation would have to do it. However, I know that before like '99 or 2000, there were Fifth Third ATM's at the front gate.
May 6, 200323 yr I remember reading a couple years ago that PKI signed an exclusive contract with Huntington Bank. So, I reckon that we won't see Fifth Third Bank ATMs at PKI- if ever - for a long time.
July 12, 200917 yr ...But, I wouldn't mind if PKI traded Huntington Bank for Fifth Third Bank because I have banked with Fifth Third Bank ever since the day I moved to Kentucky 8 years ago. And I am very fond of Fifth Third Bank... Hey folks.......these are just my preferences. cool.gif I wonder how Italian Chef feels about Fifth Third bank now...what with all the upheaval in the finance industry and the layoffs, I bet he could write a book about Fifth Third!
July 12, 200917 yr Is KI still under contract with Coke? Does anyone think Pepsi will ever be brought in? I love Pepsi but its everywhere, plus we wouldnt be able to get Barq's Red Creme anymore!
July 12, 200917 yr In January 2006, on its way out the door, Paramount Parks signed a seven year exclusive soft drink deal with The Coca-Cola Company. It ends in March 2013. http://sanjose.bizjournals.com/sanjose/sto.../30/daily6.html The Coke deal was literally announced virtually the same day it was announced that CBS was selling Paramount Parks!
July 12, 200917 yr All legacy Cedar Fair parks have Pepsi. All legacy Paramount Parks have Coke. And it will most probably stay that way until the contracts expire...
July 12, 200917 yr I would assume, its nice to have variety! Although when i go to Disney for a week in September, then hit up Carowinds on the way back its gonna be all Coke! Man I am going to hate that stuff when i get home!
July 12, 200917 yr There will not be variety within in a park...it will be one...or the other, but not both Coke and Pepsi. Either company is willing to pay big bucks for exclusivity. See: http://www.allbusiness.com/services/amusem.../4584829-1.html At that time, 35 of the top 50 parks had Coke. Coke is huge in the fountain business. In retail stores, Coke and Pepsi are nearly equal. But in the fountain business, Coke has a huge lead and has for years, partly because of Pepsi's failed effort in the restaurant business (they once owned Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC, etc.). Coke could whisper to restaurant owners, "Do you want them having access to your sales records and places of business?"
July 12, 200917 yr I didnt mean variety within the park, its nice to go to a park with one then go to one with another
