The Interpreter
...But riding Maverick was more like being strapped to a cheetah chasing a healthy young gazelle -- smooth, swift and capable of startling changes of direction. I was yelling the whole way -- with joy, not pain. The experience knocked off my socks and some weight from my shoulders. No one is too old, or too young, to appreciate Cedar Point.... http://www.columbusdispatch.com/live/conte...F1_QUE4EC8.html
PREMiERdrum
Great article... I actually read this in the paper first thing this morning. I wish he would have touched on more than 3 coasters, but I understand the constraint of length. I do particularly love this line: But the reality on the ground (or in the air, as it were) wasn't nearly as romantic. Riding the Mean Streak, I rattled around like a cigarette butt in a beer can. Priceless!
coaster_junky
what a nice little trip report, even if he didn't like mean streak
Tom76257
Great article. Thanks for sharing it with us, Terpy. I agree with him on Mean Streak and Maverick, but I'm still not sure what to think about Magnum. I've had 5 rides on it and every one has been different (some good, some bad). I'm also gonna have to try out the wave runners some time. Always wanted to ride one of those...
