I got to the park a little before 9 am. I headed to the front gate and hardly saw any KICers. I saw Justin (M17), but he didn't see me. I saw Tom (76257) in line next to me, and waited with him for the metal detectors to open. I was confused as to why they were opening them at 9:20, and then I realized I'm used to going on Saturdays or going to Cedar Point. I'd forgotten that we only get a half hour of ERT.

I walked to DB, where I caught back up with Tom and found Gary (Beast79). I got 4 rides on Diamondback before 10 am, it was practically a station wait. The best part is that they weren't assigning seats, so I got seat 16 the first time and seat 1 the second time!

Then at 10 am, I started to see KICers at the benches by DB, so we headed over there. We waited around for EVERYONE to show up, and I do mean everyone. By 11:30 am, we had a group of almost 30 people. Kat (violakat03) was handing out feather boas and Mardi Gras beads that she got to match our glam rocker outfits (even though most of the guys wore coaster shirts and the girls were really the only ones that dressed up except for Justin). RACHEL (StalkerChick) WAS TAKING 946 HOURS so we headed to DB and rolled up to the station with a group of 19 people.. and we successfully got on one train!

After that ride, we waited for Rachel and her group. Ash (Ashers), Kyle (kjkjkj), and Danielle (keiko_coaster) ditched us to go to Nickelodeon Universe or something (meanies :( ) so we headed back to Diamondback, this time with a group of 21 people. We did the wave on the lift hill and in the station when we came back.. it was great.

Some of us were being nerds and wanted the coaster credit for Little Bill's, so we all took turns borrowing Stephanie's (kittenpooh) kids for the ride.

We were all getting hungry by this point, so Kat, Dustin (pkiruler102), pkiruler102sdad, Shirley (Need For Speed), Mark (markhudson17), Derek (9312), Gary, and I left the park and went to Wendy's. While we were eating, our phones started blowing up with texts from our moms saying bad weather was on the way. I checked my radar to see some rather ugly storms heading straight for Kings Island. I ate way too much, and we headed back to the park. It was starting to sprinkle, and the clouds were turning a sickly shade of greenish gray. People were pouring out of the entrance gates as we were walking in.

The weather was getting really bad, so we headed into the Festhaus. Half of our group stayed inside, and the other half went back out to see what they could ride. I was feeling really sick from stuffing myself at Wendy's, and was glad we were sitting down for a while. Adam (pkiboy) met up with us, and he got there just in time for Down Home Country. I will say, that show has improved since we last watched it. Last time, it was like watching a bad high school play. This time, they had a lot of energy and they were really belting out the songs like they were trying out for American Idol or something. Much better.

We all had fun chatting, laughing, talking and goofing off while it stormed and the music played. It was nice to chill out for a little while.

Eventually the storms and rain let up, and for some reason we all decided to ride Invertigo. I forgot how many Gs that coaster pulls. I rode back seat facing the midway, and I do not remember going backwards through the loop. I am really not a fan of that coaster.

We saw that more storms were heading in, so we hit Delirium, and then waited with Kat and Steph while they bought their Skyflyer tickets. I headed to Drop Tower with Adam, Gary, Rachel, and a few others. We were on the ride and buckled in when they got the call that they had seen lightning, so they released us and let us back in the station. We waited out yet another storm, and we finally got to ride. It was sprinkling and made for a fun ride on Drop Tower, especially as we neared the top. You could see fog out in the woods and in the distance.

We headed back over to Skyflyer to watch Kat and Steph fly, and then Adam, Gary, markr and I headed to DB. The sun was coming out, and the storms were finally gone.

We met back up with Steph, Kat, and Rachel, and half of the group wanted to ride Vortex. Kat didn't want to ride because her ear was still messed up from the Maverick fiasco at CoasterMania last weekend, and I felt bad because I felt like I'd abandoned her for half the day, so I asked what she wanted to ride. Kat, Derek, Gary, and I headed for the red side of Racer while Rachel and some others went to ride Vortex. RACER WAS RUNNING TRIMLESS. I was ecstatic and wanted another ride.

Kat and the rest were hungry, so they went to go feed off of snacks in Rachel's car, and Gary and I grabbed another (trimless!!) ride on Racer. That coaster has really grown on me. I have a new respect for wooden coasters since my visit to Holiday World. I briefly considered lapping Racer for the rest of the night instead of Diamondback.

I asked Gary what he thought of Son of Beast, and his response wasn't a good one. I took him on the front seat of the blue train to prove that SOB is indeed enjoyable if you know where to sit. He said afterward that it was a really good ride.

We headed for a night ride on Beast, which I reluctantly agreed to. The trims were barely grabbing and it was really flying through the course, with no lights on whatsoever.. I was happy.

Our last ride of the night was a pitch black ride on Diamondback. I don't ever remember it being that dark back there in the woods.. it was crazy awesome. I had no idea where the track was going.

The group was going to head out to get food, and I really wanted to go with them, but I wasn't hungry and I was getting tired, so I just headed home. I got home around midnight because there was a wreck at my exit.. how nice.

My ride count:

Diamondback - 8

Racer - 2

Drop Tower - 1

Son of Beast - 1

Little Bill's - 1

Invertigo - 1

Beast - 1

Delirium - 1

LOL, we didn't ditch you guys to go to Nick Universe! We were all getting hungry so we decided to skip the 2nd lap of Diamondback to get something to eat. Then we realised we were going to leave earlier than we wanted to, because Brian (our other brother) was saying how he didn't feel good from drinking too much the night before. So we wanted to get on a few more rides other than Diamondback before we left. So We went over to the other side of the park and got on Racer, AE, Delirium, and Drop Tower before we had to leave at 2:00. I guess we did sort of abandon the group, but I'm sure there will be a next time, when Ashley and Brian are feeling a bit better, and we won't have to leave the group!

Anyways, sounds like you guys had a good time after the rained cleared up. It was good seeing you again!

Oh yeah, the love of the front seat of SoB is spreading!

Nice seeing you at Festhaus and Drop Tower, sorry I kind of disappeared. When I went to ride Drop Tower again I noticed SOB was a complete walkon so I rode it, but when I got off I couldn't find any one except Rachel and Justin on Skyflier so I went to Diamondback and got my 50th. ride. But I did have alot fun, and it seems all of you guys did too!

My son Kyle wants credit for being the ride partner for Kat and Tom76257 on their LBGC ride - he thinks it is so "cool" that he got to ride with them on their first ride on it.

As for having "no idea" where the DB track is going - I can almost believe that except for the memory gained from the 60+ prior rides! :P

Anyway, it was nice to meet you (and all the others) yesterday!

As always, it was great to hang out with you. I STILL can't believe I'm so tall that my head was in TWO pictures for Little Bill's. That was classic!

That may have been the single greatest thing that day... well maybe after the 13 person scooby pic hahaha

and angie will you EVER let the anger of the coasters gods that day go :P haha <3
