June 14, 200323 yr Does anyone know what caused PKI to suddenly put a military discount in effect? I visit there web site all the time and a couple of weeks ago they put up the discount(I dont know why i didn't post about eairlier). What happened did someone ask or complain or something.
June 14, 200323 yr Well, actually there WAS a war. There really isn't one now, but there are still troops over there. Most of them are back already though, most active duty's going to be back in September or October. My uncle's over there
June 14, 200323 yr The war very much is still going on. I know Ashland has to get the news somehow. Someone has to report on OJ. Ok that was off topic so anyways, they did it to show appreciation to our Armed Forces. We need to show it some way. My brother is a MP and he loves getting discounts to the Reds, PKI, and wherever else he can get it. Military people get paid very little.
June 15, 200323 yr The park has had a military discount for a long time, I belive even before the war. They still have it and it is for 50% off the normal price, so about 21 dollars, not bad!
June 15, 200323 yr Yeah, and the war is not really a war anymore anyway. We're trying to create a government for them right now aren't we? That's what my uncle told me. But anyway, do you know if the military discount is only for active duty? Because my dad got out on honorable discharge for an injury.
June 15, 200323 yr Like my brother-in-law just got back from the war last Wednessday and hes going to KI for a break
June 16, 200323 yr I think it's a good thing, as military people aren't paid very much. As far as the stipulations go, you can call the park and they will be glad to tell you, just find the hotline number because I can't.
June 17, 200323 yr It's half off with your military ID card for you and your whole family so thats a pretty good price
July 17, 200323 yr A lot of people have been saying the military people aren't paid very well. That really depends on your job. You also get free living expenses, etc. I like the discount those people do great, fearless thing for our country! -Ryan
July 17, 200323 yr My dad is a veteran, but he was in the military for 6 years, when he was 18-24. He's now in his 40's and he doesnt get a discount. Edited January 1, 197056 yr by Xx2cansamxX
