DaveStroem
It seems that in a couple of weeks Holiday World is going to be making a major announcement. They say it will be the 2nd largest ride project in park history. Could HW be getting some Steel? Maybe from Intamin since Pilgrims Plunge came from them. I know that I will be heading there next year no matter what they build.
Browns4life
So its smaller than the Voyage, but larger than the Legend! I hope its a Launched Intamin similar to Maverick! That park never dissappoints!!!
jondrewfoo
im hoping it isnt an intamin. from wht i hear, pilgrims plunge has been down a ton....
gad198
^ Ditto, unless that ride happens to be a mega-lite. Honestly, I can't see HW getting anything with a larger height requirement (52" or 54"), which may rule any bigger steel coaster, but we'll see! Guest rcfreak339
im hoping it isnt an intamin. from wht i hear, pilgrims plunge has been down a ton.... It has but keep in mind it's a new type of ride that is very complex and it's only a couple of months old. Give it time to become more reliable Ex: Top Thrill Dragster. Browns4life
Millennium Force's height requirement is 48 inches... Maybe a smaller version for HW? Doubt it but ya never know...
Coney Islander
Holiday World really should get a steel multi- looper. If one of those is built I'm going to Holiday World for sure next year.
DropZone99
Well on another site someone mentioned they said it would be less than 13.5 Million Dollars. Although that does mean it could be 2 Million dollar addition (2Million is less than 13.5...), I'd think it would be close to 13.5. Holiday World's major coasters were somewhat in a pattern. 1995: Raven 2000: Legend 2006: Voyage (people say it was originally opening in 05' though.) So it is about time for a new coaster. Maybe when they bought Pilgrim's Plunge they also bought another Intamin. Like when SFGAdv got Kingda Ka in 05' and El Toro in 06'. I would like to see another Intamin Woodie in America. DaveStroem
I also am thinking it will be back by PP. that area is kind of void right now. In 2 weeks we will all find out.
TTD-120-420
So its smaller than the Voyage, but larger than the Legend! I hope its a Launched Intamin similar to Maverick! That park never dissappoints!!! Ummm, I'm pretty sure they are talking about pricing for the coaster. Not how tall it is. In that case Maverick or most Intamin's would be out of question because of their cost.
Browns4life
I didnt see how much money they were going to spend. Maybe another wooden monster! That would be great too.
DaveStroem
They did not say that it would or would not be the 2nd largest ride investment in park history. They just left it at 2nd largest park project. That could mean longer then Legend but shorter the Voyage. Or could mean cost, height, or what ever else they want it to mean. TTD-120-420
Sorry, I took it the wrong way. My bad. I still doubt a park like Holiday World would get some mega steel coaster.
dragsterfan420
Very interesting. Will keep posted.
DiamondbackLover
I think an Intamin would definitely be the biggest thing they ever announced. I love Holiday World, but I doubt they have enough money for that. A new wood coaster would be great, that's what the park is good at. Asa
What some of you said makes sense... what if HW has been planing a Mega-Lite for awhile and then wanted to go ahead and buy P.P before, because from what i heard PP was more the less last minute.
