IndyGuy4KI
IndyGuy4KI TR 7/31 On my last Friday off of work for the summer I decided to take a trip over to KI. I got in the metal detector line at 9:15 and headed right to DB queue as soon as the park opened. I got on the first train of the day, I marathoned DB until 10 am and got 6 rides in. As the park opened I headed over to The Beast and got 2 rides in. Headed over to BLSC and there was only about a 10 minute wait. So I got in line and got a 1-1 ride in. I then headed over to Votrex, there has about a 15 minute wait. As I was working through the queue in the station I saw a mother line jump about 20 people because her kids were ahead of her. Way to instill great values there mom. After a good ride on Vortex I headed down Coney Mall towards Racers queue. As I about 100 yards away from Vortex's exit a kid about 10 asked his dad as he was pointing at The Racer track and said, "dad is that The Racer?" The dad said "No The Racer is down there." I just shook my head. I went to The Racer and only red train was running and the queue was about 15 min. I decided to head over to AE instead. I saw that blue racer was testing so I went to the blue racers queue and waited for the ride to open for the red racer was now 20 minutes. I then saw maintenance heading that way so I decided I was better off to ride red or go elsewhere. I was getting really hungry and the Subway next to Racers queue smelled good, but was not paying 5.99 for a 6". I decided to head back to Rivertown Junction for the buffet. I had a good meal there and decided to get in the DB queue. The line was about 30 minutes. As I was coming back to the final break run I noticed there was only 3 or 4 people in the single rider queue. I got off and got in the single rider queue and rode a second time in about 10 minutes. The single rider queue was down the stairs this time so I got in the reqular queue for DB. While in line again I got a text from pkiruler101 (Dustin) that he was on his way to KI. After my ride I got a drink and waited for him to get into the park. After we met up we went to get in the queue and found the gate closed to the queue for it was having an issue. They did something right in front of the chain lift and was back up in about 10 minutes. As we were working through the queue we saw "Roller Coaster Mama" there ridding. We ended up riding with her as she was in 1-1 and we were in 8-3 and 8-4. We decided to take a second ride and met up with Darene in the queue. She was on ride 542, I told her I was on ride 59. She laughed! We had another good ride on DB. We then decided to hit a few other rides. Dustin said he wanted to ride The crypt if the queue was not to full, which it was not. After that ride we looked at The Beasts queue but most of the queues where open and full. We decided to go to Vortex instead. The park was quite busy at this point. We waited probably 20 minutes for Vortex. We then hit Zephyr. After that we went and rode red racer. We also hit AE which did not have a long wait. We went into Action Zone, but it was then almost 5 PM and I had to leave at 6 PM and wanted to get at least one more ride on DB before I left. We were able to get on and off by 5:30. We got back in the queue again and were almost to the stairs when it broke down. We waited it out and got on and off at about 6:20. Took a little longer than I wanted but it was worth it. I then had to head home. Ride Count AE – 2 Beast - 2 BLSC - 1 Crypt - 1 DB – 13 Racer -2 Vortex – 2 Zephyr -1 [/size] Total: 22 Rides
