Skyflyer/Slingshot

My daughter, being a super Ride Warrior now, wants to do more on our next trip.

We have been talking back and forth about Skyflyer, and Slingshot.

I'm a bit of a tightwad, so I'm not going to pay 25 (50 for both of us) bucks on top of a gate ticket.

In the mornings though, they are both marked down to 5 bucks.

If we were given the chance to ride just one of them, which one is more fun?

I much prefer Skyflyer over Slingshot. With Slingshot you're comfortably strapped into a ball, and when you shoot up, you're looking straight up and really have no point of reference to tell how far up you are. With Skyflyer, you're hanging by a wire with nothing below you, then the ground rushes towards your face. Skyflyer wins!

To each their own, but for me I say Skyflyer. I didn't find Slingshot to be that exciting. Plus you're strapped in more hardcore than any coaster I've ever ridden. Skyflyer you're basically laying in a big fabric sling and held by a couple carabiners to a wire! Plus there's the whole pulling your own ripcord versus them doing it.

But, I'd say try to do both. Buy your tickets early when they're $5. The ticket is good all day, so you can use it at any point throughout the day. Usually as the price goes up, the lines get shorter, so if the line is really long (though it usually isn't) in the morning, you can come back to it.

Both of them have their good points, but I would probably go with slingshot. I have done both, and even though I love skyflier, inslingshot, you go much faster straight up. Plus, when the elastic part kicks in, it flips you upside down and you just get this big adrenaline rush! Skyflyer, you just get the enitial rush of falling, but once the first swing is over, its a little pointless. Slingshot is totally worth the 5 or 10 dollars!

Definitely ride the Slingshot! Being launched straight up in the air is a rush, and the flipping/airtime on the first couple bounces is insane!

Skyflyer isn't quite tall enough to provide enough of a thrill to surpass Slingshot. The initial drop is great, but doesn't last more than a couple seconds. The rest of the flight is pretty lame.
