trip report question?

Recommended Posts

has anyone {besides me} get a full blown trip report typed out, including pictures and everything in its detailed glory, and when you go to post it...

...BOOM!!!...

you get this screen saying that the server is busy and you go back to privous{sp?} page, and all your hard work has been wiped clean?

rotag, who had a good one and now cant show it cause he refuses to retype it all back in.

I know sometimes when I go to post something it says it is busy or flood control so you can select everything (and copy it) you've typed, go back to the post page, paste it, and then post it. I've never just lost everything. I've always been able to copy it and the post it.

Edit: I'm sorry you lost all of your trip report :(. What was it going to be about?

Yeah. On the page where it says flood control or whatever, there is a little box with what you typed. You select all of it (I think there is a 'select all' button), hit copy, and then go back to the post page. When you go back, the page where you type your post is empty. Then, you post what you had just copied. I hope this makes sense and can help you in the future.

my trip report was about going to an antique tractor show. i had some fun and got an unexpected call from stalkerchick. those were the hi-lights. i think it had somthin to do with the pictures, cause i tried to post in the show your ki pics and it did it again.

rotag, having all sorts of trouble with the internet on both my blackberry, and computer.

I always do what I do with research papers.

When you're done with your report select all and copy it. Then go to Wordpad or Microsoft Word, and paste your TR there. If you do get an error message again, you still have your TR on that page, and can just paste it back. Even if you have to re-paste all the photos, you will still have not lost everything.
