Extreme Terror Rides: Mega Speed: The new special gives you a front-row seat on some of the fastest, scariest amusement park attractions around

Travel Channel, 10p.m.

Thursday, September 3, 2009

Summer is on the wane, so how about a virtual spin on several amusement-park rides c/o the Travel Channel? This series promises an "adrenaline-pumping journey on the world's wettest, fastest and highest thrill rides," including the Guada Loopy at the Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Texas, the Giant Drop at Dreamworld Amusement in Australia and Poseidon's Rage at Mount Olympus Park in Wisconsin. Sorry, the Flight to Mars didn't make the cut. 10 tonight....

I watched that one last night. The Voyage is also on it towards the end of the program.

The one with Voyage also had Schlitterbahn, the drop ride at Dreamworld and another water park but I'm not sure which one. I'll admit I skipped the water parks for the most part so I could watch my Voyage. :) It's probably the same program. I DVR'd it last night.

I never knew something is going to break Kingda Ka's speed record. They had some failures on opening day, thats why in the video it was only test runs at half speed.

I saw both of them, Mega Speed and Death-Defying Drops, or whatever they were called. But I think the best show ever shown about rollercoasters was Supercoasters. That was on like four or five years ago. I still have it on tape. ;)
