Mr. Coastermania
Share some of your best haunt moments being a guest or as a scareactor. Last year i remember watching a this couple walk though the park and for some reason her boyfriend got side tracked leaving her alone for just a second setting her up for a monster to be standing in the place where her boyfriend once was.The look on her face was priceless and her scream will alway be stuck in my head. rotag
Let's see... 1. I took grandma with me and we went thru red beards revenge, one of the scareactors popped out & went " argh, granny, would you like some rum?" 2. The time I went thru mascre manor and this couple was with me (guy bein macho and the girl was big and clingin to my hoody) when the girl got scared, instead of clingin to mister macho, she about climbs over top of me to get out faster. 3. Ill have to get back to you on that one...
RingMaster
On that incident pikeman referred to: I had scared said couple and the boyfriend had walked away from her. She had her face buried in her hands and had her back turned towards me. She turned around, her face still buried in her hands, and walked towards me, thinking it was her boyfriend. She placed her head onto my chest as I gave her a quick hug, telling her everything was going to be alright in a normal, human, voice. That's when she looked up, saw me, screamed like there was no tomorrow, and walked away to her REAL boyfriend.

Brandon
This wasn't at Kings Island, but at Halloweekends my cousin and I gave one of the screamsters in Fear Faire a couple french fries and he then asked us who we wanted him to scare. We told him, and he got them good!
RingMaster
Wait RingMaster was that you who scared that girl? The body collector with the big top hat, flowing overcoat that looked like a million fashionable rugs beautifully woven together, and a broken lantern with a noose tied around it? Yeah that was me. Man, I miss that coat. The giant cart with the dead bodies, not so much. That thing was a PAIN to lug around because they never did add a second set of wheels to it so I would have to lift it (close to 200 pounds, almost) in order to move it around. XGatorHead 8904
Some of my best FF/Haunt memories are from working it. 1. Back when the the event was still FearFest, there was a small crew of us (3 people, including myself) that would go through each maze opening day before the park opened to clean up anything that had been left behind in the process of constructing the maze. The first year of PsychoPath (now Trail of Terror) we were walking through a few hours before it opened to the public for the first time. We got to the part where the "spiderwebs" hit you in the face. I quickly realized what was happening, but the other person that was with me kept swatting in front of her face and getting very annoyed that she was walking in front and running into all the spiderwebs. She finally realized that they were fake, but I had a good laugh! 2. The first few years of FearFest, there was a scaracter that worked there that had long reddish hair and wore a blue jumpsuit. We used to love watching him scare the crap out of people at the end of the night at the turnstiles. 3. When I finally got to be a scaracter last year, I had to take advantage of the Bengals' losing season. As The Bouncer at Club Blood, it was my job to make sure we had the "right type" of people coming into the club. Anytime someone came through wearing a Bengals item, I'd say, "Bengals? You're in... we love losers here!" The people loved that. 4. Similar to the Bengals line above, being a NASCAR fan I had to do something for that too. So anytime someone came in wearing a Kyle Busch item, I'd say, "Kyle Busch? Really? Well, at least it's not Jeff Gordon... get in there!" (I'd also do the same for someone wearing Jeff Gordon, but say "at least it's not Kyle Bush"). I said that to one woman who was wearing a Kyle Busch jacket. She stopped and said "I just have to give you a hug, that was so funny!" and she proceeded to hug me. Those are just some of the top FF/Haunt moments I can think of at the moment. violakat03
I think my favorite was from Halloweekends at CP last year. My husband and I were walking through the scare zone in Frontier Trail and there was a family in front of us. Mom, dad, and two pre-teen or early teen kids. Dad was acting macho and saying that no one could scare him and laughing when the scareactors got the mom or kids. As we got to the very end of the trail, out of nowhere (I still don't know how he did it) a scareactor jumped on a trashcan right in front of the dad and he jumped, screamed and fell back, almost landing on his butt. Everyone that saw it busted out laughing (including his family) and gave the guy high fives! Second favorite would be my husband's reaction last year when walking through Trail of Terror. A young girl came up behind him and said real close to his ear "you look good enough to eat." He turned to her and very calmly said "Thank you, my wife thinks the same thing." I've got lots of stories from when I acted at trails but they aren't from a park.
faeriewench
^Halloweekends is not Haunt lol I just had to. LongLiveTheSmurfRide
When I was going through The Cemetery with some friends, one of them ran into a tombstone and scraped his ankle and when he looked down at it through the fog, he found a dollar. StalkerChick
Wait RingMaster was that you who scared that girl? LOL UNcle Henry in the vampire bat costume did the same thing to a girl last year! Those are my ABSOLUTE favorite ppl to scare! I had been following a group as i hid behind another group of very nice ppl whom i'd scared earlier and this big black guy. i'm talking like linebacker! 6,' 250-300 lbs, i came behind him jumped on the queue rail and smacked the metal pole and when he turned around, i was behind him so i leaned the other way and when he turned back around He screamed like a little girl for 30 seconds and ducked behind another girl. Best scare ever!! Wheres Kareeeeennnnnn?! We need our meals on wheels! Karen! I need a ride cause I'm dead tired! (yes I am THAT feisty in person while at Haunt lol this year I may be more "nutty" only a select few know and will continue to know) *giggles* I love Karen!! There was a time in a slow moving long line night at US last year, I hadn't seen her come in in 2 weeks so when i saw her i went over did the normal karen scare. it was epic. But she had burned a copy of the shows from last year onto a dvd for me so i could watch them (she's awesome) and so when she told me about it, i gave her a hug. these 3 girls behind her about maybe 14 or so, their eyes got so big and they backed about 5 foot up and one goes "but I thought they weren't allowed to touch you?!" It was great! There was another time in CornStalkers in which it was just one of those nights ya know? I had a pretty low growl as my sound, and this teenage girl comes up behind me and full out grabs my ass. I turn around to her smiling and waving and say in my normal voice "thank you darlin. i needed that" she screamed omg its a girl and they all took off running while i was literally on the ground laughing. Another time there, when it was on the path which is now between BLSC and DB i was at the exit 2 years ago and the hay bales lined the path all the way to the bathrooms. Oh nother story, its really funny when you wear your costume into the bathroom when little girls take off running there cuz they think they're safe. The employees got a good laugh too, mainly since i scared one of the 2 girls in there. But anyways back on task. I was sitting on the hay bales since there was a nice butt groove on the top hay bale thanks to the fire that broke out the day before, and i had hurt my knee jumping off my cross thing, so i was sitting there randomly jumping at ppl. Well a dad comes up and sits next to me and leans over and whispers "just go with me ok? I haven't gotten a scare out of my daughter yet and its driving me nuts" so i whisper back ok, and he goes "hey girls come over here and sit down while we wait on [whoever] to get out of the bathroom. His daughter literally sits in my lap, and doesn't even realize it, til i bring my arms out like i'm going to hug her and the girl next to us gets up screaming and she just turns to look at me, i growl and off to the bathroom they go. The dad actually shook my hand and thanked me profusely. I loved it! Another good one comes from urgent scare.I love how they walk into the lines and catch you off guard. As my friends watched someone in line get a wake up call from the little girl and i was laughing so hard and all this time i had a feeling someone was other than my friends where right dead behind me.I jumped and nearly had a heart attack. The scareactor asked my friends did i get him or what?Yeah you did.he dont cuss. *giggles* You're welcome friend O:)

Typical Guy
Last year was my first year working Haunt, and I have to say, after reading some of the best moments, it is really encouraging. StalkerChick, I loved the Cornstalkers story. I worked Urgent Scare last year and I had 2 favorite moments. The first one was on opening weekend. I was actually still a patient in a hospital bed at this time, and more of a distraction than a scare. A group of teenage girls came through and I could hear them say" there is someone under that sheet" SO I delayed about 3 seconds. When I popped up, one of them screamed "Oh ****, I just wet my pants!!" I had to keep from laughing. Another one was when I was working the elevator room as the eyeless doctor. When the room was activated and I turned from my corner, stabbing the nurse and lunging at the guests, on woman freaked. She tried to open the door before the "elevator" was done, and I had to block her from opening the door. Then she wouldn't go forward. she stood there and refused and insisted we let her out. What can you do?...she went back out the way she came in, as fast as I have ever seen someone move. TG
KI Kevin
Well this is really funny, but I was there with like 5 other people. So one of my friends (who had already went into Urgent Scare and Trail of Terror) paid another friend $15 to stay back and not go into Worksite. Justin_M17
The best one for me was oddly enough a scare made at my expense It was last year and I was going through Trail of Terror. I was fine with the majority of it (Although the sandbag "bodies" did a number on my stomach) until I got to the end and heard that chainsaw. I didn't even check to see where it was coming from, I just hauled *** in the direction I happened to be facing at the time, which was backwards through the trail again until I collided with the group that went in after us. It was really embarrassing, and my brother and his gf (Who was with us at the time) haven't let me forget it since

Whales_Rock
Riding Flight of Fear 8 times in one hour because no one was riding coasters COULD YOU REALLY DO THAT? I want to go during Halloween Haunt, yet I don't want to because I HATE people popping out at me; it makes me keel over and faint. But I think I might do the same thing if I don't get t o go to KI. Are the lines long? If you're talking about Haunt on October 4th, that is not possible. It is not one of the two Sundays the park chose to operate the Haunt on (as in mazes, trails, fearzones, and scare zones) Only Sundays on the 11th and 18th along with Thursday 8th and 15th were added to the schedule. Sundays for the most part appear normal for me, then again after a night of working Haunt, I rather not be any where near the park till I'm rested up or close to it. RingMaster
Last year for their Fright Feast (at Wings Diner) they had a mini Wall of Monsters to where monsters would crowd around the windows for a small period of time before they rushed in and "attacked" the guests inside. On the final night there was quite a good crowd of people in Wings (the Feast on Saturdays always managed to sell out), in particular a round table with six girls. My eyes instantly locked on them the moment we huddled around the windows. As we started making noise and banging on the doors, the girls were making faces and mouthing, "We're not scared of you" towards us and were giggling their preteen hearts out. I almost thought that all they were going to do would just flinch and scream. Man, was I glad to be so wrong the second I opened the door and everyone stormed in. The look on their faces went from amusement went to sheer terror. Two girls sitting closest to the door slid four feet away from the table on their chairs. One fell backwards on her chair after she jumped and screamed. Another literally CLIMBED over the table trying to get away and ended up tipping the whole table over (thankfully no food was on the table). The last two flat out booked it towards the bathrooms before getting teamed up by two creepers. Everyone else that had watched (including the Haunt supervisors and the Marketing/Food full-timers that were in there) almost died laughing; three guys in the corner were on the floor howling with laughter.
