September 17, 200916 yr Fright Fest at Great Adventure is New Jersey’s most popular Halloween spectacle and it all happens each October, right here in Jackson. Each weekend tens of thousands of people from the tri-state area and beyond descend upon Jackson to take in the the thrill and chills of Fright Fest. For our family, Halloween is not a day, it’s a season that runs through the entire month of October, it’s a time when kids can be kids and dress up in costumes and be whoever they want to be without having to worry about getting strange looks at the supermarket. For some kids, frightfest can be downright scary, so Six Flags hands out ghoul repelling whistles that th children can blow to frighten off the evil spirits. ... September 18, 200916 yr They don't work very well when the child guest is in his fifties.... Terpy, don't ask how he knows this. . . So I assume you don't like Fright Fest?
September 18, 200916 yr Author The major reason I avoid Fright Fest at Great Adventure is that that event draws unbelievably huge crowds. The last time I was there for such, Kingda Ka was a three hour line, Rolling Thunder was over an hour, and in six hours we rode TWO things. Forget the mazes...they were each at least two hours.
September 18, 200916 yr ^ Any advice on what Friday nights are like after Fright Fest starts? I know not to visit there on Saturday, but our visit last year on a Sunday was enjoyable, especially in the morning. Between Friday nights and Sunday, which is better?
September 18, 200916 yr Author From what I hear, Sunday is better than Friday nights during Fright Fest at Great Adventure. I wouldn't know... I last went to Fright Fest there several years ago. Anyone else?
September 18, 200916 yr If it's anything like Kings Island and Cedar Point, Fridays and Sundays are pretty dead but usually Sundays are better. I'll be there on Fright Fest's opening day for ACE's Riding of the Bull, along with pkiboy and dare-to-fly. I'll let you know how ridiculous the crowds are.
September 18, 200916 yr I lick the fact that in in IR. But it is the closest place to slaughterhouse that could fit people in it . I just bought my ticket for the 26 casue im going on opening night and then the next night.
