CedarPointer
If you renewed an existing gold pass, will it still get you in for the rest of 2009?
The Interpreter
Absolutely. Without question. But do keep your receipt in case something got botched in the renewal....

goofywdw
I was confused about this at first but then it hit me. If you buy a 2009 pass why wouldn't you be able to use it for 2009? The brand new 2010 passes are the ones that only get you the one visit for 2009.
CedarPointer
Especially because a regular pass renewal only works once for 2009... 2010 REGULAR SEASON PASS - ADULT RENEWAL Ages 3-61; 48" tall and taller. Unlimited admission to Kings Island during public operating days for the 2010 season. Also valid for ONE visit during the 2009 season. VALID AT Kings Island ONLY EXCLUSIVE RENEWAL OFFER: Proof of Prior Membership Required Upon Processing.
The Interpreter
Sloppy writing, as is all too often found on that website. A regular season pass renewal includes unlimited continued visits to Kings Island while the park is open during 2009. After all, you already paid for that when you bought the 2009 pass, and you do not lose it by renewing. Then again, this IS the same company that tried to limit access to the other Paramount Parks back in 2006 with a renewal, even though you had already paid for that, too...and yet let in legacy Cedar Fair passholders into the Paramount Parks without charge the rest of that year, even though they had NOT paid for that: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...ity++Unfairness They've learned from that. Today's Cedar Fair would not do that.
CedarPointer
I remember not being able to get Joe Cool perks at CP... even though they told us by email that we could... and yes, we did explain that our passes were from Worlds of Fun. After discovering that we could not get them, we replied back and pointed out that they did tell us that we could. They never replied.
