mars1825
The reason why security doesn't patrol everyline at PKI is because it would be a waste of money. Simple as that.
DragonLord
Ugh, like monitoring the ques from camera would work... by the time Security would get there they might already be at the station or on/off the ride. Cameras never hepled deter anyone anyway.
DegenRider
Put a camera in plain sight and people usually don't risk getting caught. Also, they could call the ride and tell them as well.
adam12
I think they should put fake cameras in all the line's. They do not know if they are being watched or not. Low cost solution. Maybe have a few of the cameras set up just incase people find out about the fake ones. -Adam12 (Posted on 08-04-2003)
Dane
I think PKI should set up a telephone number to reach security. That way, people that have cell phones can call and get a discription of the person. That way the only cost to the park will be another telephone number. And I think Paramount can afford another telephone number.
DragonLord
The problem with that is that people would call for all sorts of other things as well... not a good thing when it's supposed to be for important things. That too, we could get tons of prank calls, or we could run into other calls that are more important than a line jumper and then the caller would get ticked that we didn't do anything. Things are fine the way they are...
Mrs. G.
When I was a kid (yes, we're talking caveman days here) there were signs posted at the amusement parks that read "LINE JUMPERS WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE PARK. NO REFUNDS." And they were. I had several friends who decided to learn that the hard way and blow their whole day just to ride the log ride five minutes faster. Bottom line, there were A LOT LESS line jumpers then. Now, I just stand in the way, and when they say, "excuse me" I say, "no." Half the time it works, the other half of the time they call me the B word and find another way around.
Elder Panther
On Tuesday I went to the park with some of my friends and some kid got separated from his friends when we got into line and he tried to cut up to meet them and one of my friends was just kidding and said, "Line jumping is not a sport," so the kid just got out of line. It was pretty funny.
coasterdime
I've put my 2 cents on this topic in another thread, but I ALWAYS tattle on line jumpers. Usually, the ride op deals with them pretty well. The funny thing is, lately I've encountered line jumpers on rides with little to no wait! On Tuesday, two kids simply bypassed the line on Shake, Rattle & Roll (!) We told the op, a few others in line confirmed it, and he ride op went to their seat on the ride...and showed them to the exit! When the ops are fair, I ALWAYS stop by GR on the way out to let management know about what a good job they did. (everyone should)
DragonLord
It would be great if we got more feedback from the Guests, that's why we have the GR people throughout the park taking surveys and things, we aren't getting enough from the guests, so we get it from them. It really does get down the a specific employee if a guest makes a comment, good or bad, about that employee. We like both types of feed back and would always appriciate more. I know I have had both good and bad things (at least in the guest's mind) reported at GR and I always have a sup asking about the bad ones and congratulated on the good ones. It makes me have a better day when I know someone out there had a better day because of me.
BoddaH1994
Would you suggest that we go to GR a few times per season and let them know what they're doing right and wrong?
mars1825
I would suggest that you go to GR after every visit to tell them what they do right and what they do wrong. You could also join the Paramount Parks Survey Panel and every time you visit the park you can take a survey and possibly win money.
BoddaH1994
I already have done a ton of the Paramount Surveys. Don't you guys think they should have something easier, like maybe a drop box?
RIPcobra
I 'd say let them go. If they got away with it. Why bother and make people hate you for getting mad at them. I just stay where i am. I acctually congratualted one. Plus i am mad at the sercurity for not letting my little bro in line. He had to go to the restroom and i was holding his spot and he came back in and then a ahole security guard came and told him he had to get outta the line and he was onyl 6 years old he didn't know better. The peeps in back of us got mad at the security guard the girl even called him a "a**hole*.

And he grabbed my bro's arm tightly and my bro was even crying and then he took him to the back of the line. i had to go back with him because i didn't wanna leave him there. Solid Snake
LMAO, I got called for line jumping because I jumped over the bars on Vortex. Like, no one was in line but I just hoped a bar, because there was no reason to walk around when I could just hop over (lol) and this big dude. Like not really fat, he was tall and had blonde hair with a white pki shirt on told me that me that if I did it again he could kick me out of the park... go figure. You're complaining they wouldn't let him back in line, yet you let a 6 year old go to the bathroom by himself. Seems like you're a bad babysitter. Don't get mad at security for doing their job. RIPcobra
well he is not really insulting me but he is saying i can't take care of my bro. Tanner starts stuff in every freaking forum. And i'll get mad at whoever the heck i want to the peeps that work at pki are aholes. Edited January 1, 1970 by RIPcobra
Mrs. G.
Sorry, and I'm not "insulting" you, but you should have waited for your brother. Why didn't you? Had you waited (which is basic common courtesy) for your brother none of the scene you describe would have happened. Instead you blame someone else for doing their job. You will not like it when people hassle you for doing yours someday. There is no way I would leave one of my kids to "catch up" in line with me, or vice-versa, EVER. Why even bother having the lines then? Everybody should just go where they want whenever they want. But when somebody jumps a rail or shoves somebody and gets injured, THEN it's security's fault. "Getting mad" never solved a thing. And if the people at PKI are such "A-holes" don't go there.
StXBomber
the peeps that work at pki are aholes. uh... dumb thing to say in a forum with alot of people on it work at PKI. You line jumped, stop whining about something you did. SAVING SPOTS IS LINEJUMPING!!! Jeez, some people... so what RIPCobra is trying to say is... "I line jumped. I'm mad I got caught. I'll take my anger out on employees" Edited January 1, 1970 by StXBomber
Mr. Fusion
And i'll get mad at whoever the heck i want to the peeps that work at pki are aholes. You mean the people who check your harness, make the food, clean the park, operate the rides, and make sure that you have a good time? If you don't like the employees, then go somewhere else. RIPcobra
Well some emplyees can be nice and when there not i just complain about them to the authorities. And stxbomber i wasn't line jumping i waited in line. I didn't caught. I was saving a spot. You'd think they can at least show some mercy for a 6 year old. i have just been mad at the employees since one called me a mother f***er i told authorties and he got fired. So some emplyees are nice others aren't.
Tanner
Rules are rules. They don't bend them for anyone, well let me take that back; 6 year olds kids. They don't care how old they are. A real brother would have waited, anyone would have waited; but you thought you'd do something smart even if it was against the rules. If I'm not mistaken the signs say No Holding Spots In Line. Not hard to read, of course I hope you can. If you hate all the people at PKI don't go there. You complain about every little thing in the park, now it's the people who run the park. You say I start stuff with people. Only with stupid people...
