Xtremejulia
speaking for the games section of the park...i think that generally we are pretty good about tucking our shirts in and wearing our nametags. the only thing that we are lacking in is the no unnatural hair colors..no piercings other than ears outside the body and no tatoos. and all that is mostly in the coney mall area. we do have some problems however with people sitting down on the job which looks awful as well. KI_Kid
One last thing, KI_Kid, if you would have told me something like your last comment to my face, sup or not, I would have had your ID and we would have had a talk with an OD and my boss. I might be a "rent a cop" but I don't have to deal with employee's bad mouthing me. Read the back of your ID it says "Upon request you must surrender this card to mamangement or security." Oh I am sure you would take my ID!!! Thats what you guys do is bother the employees working. The thing is I dont work for the park anymore so good luck getting my employee ID cause I dont have it anymore. I am entitled to my opinion and I would come in as a season pass holder and tell you it to your face if you would like. You say you dont have to deal with employees bad mouthing you, well I am not an employee anymore so I will say as I want! Most of our security dept if not all of it, is a bunch of people on a power trip. Edited January 1, 1970 by KI_Kid
Tanner
If I wore one of those Security uniforms, I'd act like I ran the park to. It is their job to keep the park safe. I dare you to go up and say that to him. I mean you just might get escorted out of the park, and have your pass revoked. That would be funny. DragonLord
It would be a lot of paper work as well, Tanner. I don't get a power trip in uniform and the officers that do get it are noticed by our sups and are usually asked to join another department. Officers with power trips are the ones that will get either themselves or a guest(s) hurt or really ticked off. We don't need that.
italianchef
I think that all the male employees at PKI should wear tuxedos and speak with English accents - like butlers. And I think that all female employees at PKI should wear French maid outfits and speak with a French accent. And all employees should wear white gloves. JUST BLOODY KIDDING! Jumpin Jack
Hats off to any security gaurd or sup/manager who enforces the dress code over all associates who are not representing the park well. I can only imagine how rude some park guests and associates can be, in not respecting that authority. Do you think if the vice presidents in the park walked through consistently they wouldn't tell other associates to shape up if they were not in keeping with the dress code? Of course they would. Why, they have a personal stake in the company, and pride in the park. Security gaurds and supervisors/managers are extentions of those people, and should represent them accordingly. If they are met with oposition, that associate should be disiplined accordingly,,,, just as they would fi they mouthed off to the vice president of the copmany. Just my opinion. coasterrz
I know for a fact that sometimes the higher ups walk around the park. Earlier this year while riding Delirium, I saw Craig Ross, PKI`s general manager. Also, I work at Coney as a ride operator. It is not uncommon for the President of Coney to be seen telling people to tuck in their shirts.
DegenRider
My Passholder thing is sarcasim in a ongoing joke about how goldpass holders own the park. I became a passholder because I like the rides. If you don't like it do what I did quit and become a goldpass holder cause goldpass holders tell security what to do cause we own the park! see the anymore. I am entitled to my opinion and I would come in as a season pass holder and tell you it to your face if you would like Would you cuss out a police officer? Well cussing out a Security guard be it dragonlord or anyother one will put you in a world of legal trouble. Free speech is free to a point. You would be crossing that point. [RANT] Every security guard works hard at the park. They are there for safety this has gone very far a away from the orginal intent of the topic. While security shouln't have to babysit 5,000 seasonal employees they have been asked to help enforce the rules. Dragonlord himself does his job to the letter. He does not throw his power around. Infact he is polite at what he does. He is not a robot by anymeans just take a look at my pictures. He was able to have a bit of fun and still do his job. I do not think its fair by anymeans to say that they are all powerful and like to throw em around. KI_Kid you may dislike security at PKI. You wanna see what its like when inmates run the assylum goto Kentucky Kingdom. Wanna see constant monitering goto Cedar Point. PKI is in the middle and its quite good. If you don't like it then please do not come to the park. Thats just my opinion I could be wrong. [/rant] I may not care personally but I do know the park has standards those need to be met at all times. We have made huge deal over somthing that may take 5-20 seconds total to fix. Fix the problem and then there isn't one.
BoddaH1994
What's the big deal? You guys apparently signed the papers agreeing to wear the uniform. What's the issue? I have to wear mine at Best Buy.
lapdance
I may be stepping out of line here, but don't you agree that if wardrobe is a problem then a rides area manager should be contacted. An area manager has more authourity than anyone on this board including security. I don't think a manager would tolerate it, and associates will listen to them. By the way, has security been enforcing this since day one or have you just started saying stuff. It sounds like you've just recently started correcting employees, and that can result in big problems. So let the managers take care of it, and step back. It's more their job than yours.
