Am I correct in reading that early entry is now beginning for DB and Beast with the park on opening day? Meaning if I go down for April 24th and 25th I will be able to get in early with my CP platinum pass???

Yes you are correct. Early ride times for Diamondback and Beast are an hour early starting April 17.

Awesome, thanks! Also, are there picnic areas outside of the park like at CP? I love just dropping a cooler full of lunch off and not having to worry about it until lunch time. Saves serious cash too :)

The parking lot in your car. I see that a lot. I have also seen people set up tables and eat in the grass a long the trail to Timber wolf lodge.

^There are tables there, but not very many. If you don't get there early, there may not be a spot to leave your stuff. We always leave the cooler in the car, and when we're ready for lunch we get it, head over to the grassy strip in the middle of the parking lot, spread out a blanket and eat!

It's good to see ERT on opening day now. I know I'll be there at 9:00!

An hour on Saturdays...half an hour other days....

Important to remember...

And this is a very nice thing for the park to do for its passholders (and for Platinum Pass holders for all Cedar Fair parks). Very nice...
