rivertowngirl
My son is 3 and we go to KI often. He loves it. Even though he is a bit small for his age he can ride most of the rides in the kiddie area. Parents can ride on a lot of the rides with the kids. He also loves riding on the train and some of the "big people" rides with us, like the Monster and the Scrambler. We haven't taken him to the water park yet but I know they have areas there for the younger kids and I am sure he will enjoy that. He gets a kick out of seeing the characters and the live shows. We do not take a stroller (mainly because I don't want to hassle with it and I hate leaving it unattended) and my son starts wearing down after about 2-3 hours so keep that in mind as I am sure you don't want to be carrying a 4 year old around. flumequeenbee
id say whenever they are 46-48 inches because then they can ride most rides by themselves if you want them to go earlier then id say 36 inches because they can get on some with an adult
Lakota88
Hi, all. I'm the one who started this topic, and based on the encouraging feedback from everyone here I decided to go ahead and take my 4yo daughter to KI for the first time this past week. She absolutely loved it. We spent the entire day there from 10 to almost 8 and she still didn't want to leave. Full trip report HERE. Purplehaze
Awesome Lakota88. I think any age is a good age to introduce KI to any child or adult for that matter. My parents who are in their 70's go once a week. they do not ride anything just admire the exercise. I have been going since the park opened. I have seen the good and bad and worked there for many many years but you know in the end, even through bad times it is still one of my favorite places on earth to escape.
