And what, pray tell, is wrong with the American flag ending up in a picture?

The problem is that, with the level of the flags, they probably will not end up in the picture and you'll just get a picture with three silver poles behind you, obscuring the view of the fountains.

Seriously doubting that photo would be up with three honkin poles in the way. In fact, they'll probably remove them anytime they want to get a photographer in there for serious press photos. Just because someone doesn't want their photo looking like the Eiffel Tower is behind bars does NOT mean they hate their county. Get a grip. That's a rude thing to say to someone just because they don't like where the flagpoles are.

I love my country. I love our flag. I sing the national anthem and recite the pledge of allegiance with my right hand over my heart every morning before school. I love each and every one of the men who have fought and died for my freedom. I support them to the fullest, and pray that every one of them will, one day, return home safely.

However, I do not like the aesthetic appearance of three large flag poles placed directly in front of the picturesque fountains and Eiffel Tower. That is just my opinion, and is completely unrelated to my unconditional respect for America.

So please, stop patronizing those of us who disagree with the rest of you.

I think they look marvelous.

I love the new location of the flags. They really do compliment The fountain.

If you're trying to take a pic of just the fountains, it's impossible to not get the poles in the shot.
