Hey all! So I've got roughly a week vacation at the end of July 19-24th ish....I'm lookin at taking a vacation. I've been toying with the idea of visiting a Cedar Fair park for a fraction of my vacation, among other going and doing something different. I'll be going by myself.

So I guess my question is: If you were to go on a vacation by yourself...where would you go, what would you do, and if you were to visit a Cedar Fair park, which would you go to?

Thanks for your help in advance!!!

Cedar Point. For sure. That is, if your more of a roller coaster enthusiast.

Now if you want a true vacation and still want to go to an amusement park? Disney World in Orlando, Florida would be the best place.

I'm kinda hoping to go out of Ohio...so it can be a true vacation for me! Haha! I've thought about going to KD or Carowinds, or actually anywhere I haven't been for the parks, so KI, CP, and CW. I'd probably only go to whatever park decided for two days max and would love to do other things in said area...so I'm not sure!

Why not King's Dominion then? I haven't been myself but I have heard great things about the park. Plus it is close to Richmond/Williamsburg/Washington D.C. which all offer a lot to do for tourists.

I recommend Knott's Berry Farm.. It's a little "off-beat" of the Midwest parks IMO. The California setting is beautiful, and the overall feel of the park is just "different" for some reason. Not to mention they have Xcelerator and Silver Bullet. Of course Cedar Point is and always will be my favorite park, but if you're looking for something different and aren't worried too much about travelling budget, I'd say give Knott's a try. And SFMM is only about 45 minutes away :)

Knott's is a great park, but if you've got a week and are planning just a smaller little vacation, it won't work - it's too far away. I think Knott's is great when you hop over for a day while on your Disneyland trip, but to go out there with Knott's as your destination? For the casual adventurer, it's not necessarily a multi-day park... Not three or more, at least.

Kings Dominion all the way. You absolutely wouldn't regret it. And as was mentioned, you're a fraction of a second from the world-class Busch Gardens Williamsburg and their UNBELIEVABLE collection of rides, plus Washington D.C., Historic Williamsburg (which can be accessed with a combo ticket from Busch Gardens) and Richmond. You can even hit up Gettysburg on the way depending on your start point.

I've heard great things about King's Dominion. Visiting there for a couple of days will give you a good opportunity to visit the East Coast. If you really want to make use of your Platinum Pass then Carowinds isn't very far away.

If it isn't too expensive, I would say LA. For parks, they have Disney, MM, and Knott's. I have heard all three are great. Plus, there is Universal Studios, California Adventure, and it is LA, so there is tons of stuff to do.

Or if you want to gamble, go to Atlantic City and go to SFGAD.

If you want a bit cheaper, I would suggest Williamsburg, and visit DC, and go to BGW and KD.
