Turnout for Coaster Stock 2010

VP of Operations says the announcement of a new ride next August.

Bob from B&M says there is no height limit.

Woodstock Gliders get a new locking seat belt.

It's so hot that Bart Kinzel didn't show.

It is a park event not unlike Coaster Mania at Cedar Point or Holiwood Nights at Holiday World, but put on by Carowinds.

They messed the meal up so they are giving a second one at 5PM.

It's so hot that the chocolate chips in the cookies melted.

I know, I just want KI to get another ride. Nit that I'm happy with Diamondback. I love it!!! I jus want something else at KI. Maybe a flat or something.

Later in the night they said they plan to change park hrs to stay open till 10pm next season.

Coaster Stock will be a annual event in the third week of July and want it to be a two day event.

Haunt will cost more the later it gets in the season with bring a friend on slower days.

The longer hours is a smart response to the stupid (in my opinion) hours cutback at Six Flags. SFOG and Carowinds compete with each other more than most would think. Even KD serves as internal competition to Carowinds.

Thanks for posting this report. I was really thinking hard about heading down for that event and decided against it at the last second because of the heat.

I read on another site that the second trim was turned off on Intimidator...any truth to that?

I remember someone asked to turn the trims off on Intimidator. The VP of Operations was talking off to the side and said they was crazy.

The way the guy from B&M said there is no height limit sounded to me like there never was one. He was saying they will build what ever we want or what ever a park will pay for. He also said they are working on projects overseas and wasn't going into height details on them when he was saying no height limit. It sounded to me like he said there are no B&M projects going on in the USA.

Looking back on what was said at Coaster Stock 2010 it's all is in the books except for the Carowinds announcement of a new ride in August. It seems that when they say something at Coaster Stock you better listen.
