September 21, 201015 yr What kind of new thing would you rather have....... -A redo of the park (painting, up-ing attractions) -A expansion of the waterpark -A haunted mansion (no kiddie shooting guns) -A New Woodie "Return of The Beast" -A record breaking floorless coaster -X-Base Expansion (3 New Flats)
September 21, 201015 yr -A redo of the park (painting, up-ing attractions) -A expansion of the waterpark -A haunted mansion (no kiddie shooting guns) -A New Woodie "Return of The Beast" -A record breaking floorless coaster -X-Base Expansion (3 New Flats) I know I'm going to be in the minority on this one... I'd really love any of those things, but since I have a soft spot for Phantom Theater I chose a haunted mansion type of dark ride, or basically a return of Phantom Theater. It would be great to have another dark ride in the park.
September 21, 201015 yr I'll probably be in the minority also, but I'll take a waterpark expansion, as long as it's kept accessible to non-swimmers like myself. I really like how none of the current attractions have water deeper than 3 1/2 feet except the wave pool, and there I can wear a life vest. (I've been taking swimming lessons, but without much success.)
September 21, 201015 yr A wooden coaster that's not lame. Right, cus if there's one park on Earth that has nothing but lame wooden coasters, it's Kings Island... We only have a landmark John Allen racing coaster, often cited as the impetis for the Second Golden Age of the Roller Coaster; a still-legendary-after-thirty-six-years wooden coaster; the world's only hyper-woodie (which some hate, but in all fairness, some love - some people find The Beast is incredibly over-hyped, and still others find Son of Beast over-criticized...); and a PTC family woodie that's still a fantastic wooden coaster on its own merits. I don't think you meant it that way, but it still made me laugh.
September 21, 201015 yr I would have to agree with Delirum13. I would love to see a dark ride that's scary. When I went this last summer, I was less than thrilled with BBOBH. The whole focus of the ride was to point and shoot. IMO? Boring. I have very fond memories of riding Phantom Theater with my brother (who has autism and would only go on few rides, one being PT) and I think that bringing a haunted ride would be beneficial. Don't get me wrong, I would love a floorless coaster like anyone else, but if I had to choose the order, it would go something like this: -Haunted Mansion -Redo of park -X-Base Expansion (I don't think two rides constitutes an "area" thank you very much.) -Expansion of waterpark -Floorless coaster -New woodie (can we PLEASE fix SOB before we start thinking about a new wooden coaster. Some of us would actually like to ride it, please.)
September 22, 201015 yr Honestly, I'd like a redo of the park before we see any new attractions. There are so many loose ends that need tied up it isn't even funny. - SOB is still not running... - The Racer needs some attention - It needs painted, and there are WEEDS growing up through the cracks in the concrete. - Flight Deck needs painted. - Themeing on several rides are still in need of some attention. - We need paint in several areas other than rides (the Action Zone water tower comes to mind right away) - We could use some more shade in many areas of the park, especially in Coney Mall, Action Zone, and parts of Rivertown. Call some of these nit-picky, but SOB just sitting there is unacceptable, and The Racer needs a lot more attention than it has been given. EDIT: After the park fix-up, I'd like an expansion of the waterpark since it hasn't had one in so long. An X-Base expansion would be nice in a few years, and a floorless coaster would be pretty cool. As far as Haunted Houses go, I'd like to see the Phantom Theater back, but that won't happen.
September 22, 201015 yr I think I would take the X-Base expansion. I really enjoy the coaster line up we have now (not that I wouldn't enjoy having a few more) and I think some new flat rides in X-Base, along with some restrooms, would add a lot to the park. A Screamin' Swing, Falling Star (not exactly 'new' but it is my favorite flat), and a Twin Flip would be my choices.
