wv_ki_fan
Day started leaving from Ashton West Virginia (outside Huntington), drove to Mason Ohio with no problems made great time. My fiance and I got to the hotel and checked in. At around 5:30pm we went to to line up at Kings Island. There was already a nice little crowd gathered. Seen some fellow West Virginians and spoke to a A.C.E member. I was very impressed with how KI opened the gates, a large number of scare-actors came running from the gates toward the crowd it was amazing, the chainsaw guys were awesome. after getting our tickets scanned our first activity was Adventure Express, we got ride it right up front, I know some people make fun of AE but I LOVE it. After that i attempted to ride Flight of Fear, Racers and Diamondback, but unfortunantly i could not get the restraints to fit. That is really embarassing but i dont blame KI for it, its my own fault. my Fiance and I rode, Adventure Express x2, Flight Deck, The Scrambler x2, Vortex, and The Beast. If you haven't rode The Beast at night i highly suggest it and the nice little suprise is a good addition. If anyone was there on the 8th do you know why The Crypt wasn't operation and what happened to The Beast at the end of the evening. I give KI a A+ on fog, at times it was a little too much, I didn't see many roamers out though. The Haunts we got to go through was Massacre Manor and Urgent Scare in my opinion they did a great job, we got in line for CarnEVIL but ended up leaving to go get on The Beast. I do want to add we went to Festhaus for dinner and while we were there we saw the Half-Pint Brawlers, i thought it was highly entertaining, they did the best they could and the crowd was FAR from rowdy and seemed to be really into it, you could tell the wrestlers were really tired. all-in-all it was a great day at Kings Island, didn't last long enough. can't wait for next year. CoastersRZ
The Crypt has been down for several weeks, maybe even a month or so. Not sure the reason why (waiting for another part from Germany perhaps?) There was a decent crowd on hand for a Friday. I suspect the weather had something to do with it. I was hanging out with some of my fellow Coney rides managers tonight. They thought I was a celebrity because of all the people that knew me by name (thanks to The Beast crew, and a few Haunt people that I know in the mazes that called me out by name (and even mentioned Coney)). The Interpreter
And fret not, if you can ride Beast and AE, you can get yourself into shape to ride the others you do not yet fit again. It can be done. Terp, who knows these things...

Hmmm... I wonder who that could have been... Sam the Butcher perhaps? You just never know what he's going to say, and I have it on good authority that a lot of times he doesn't even know until a split second before it comes out of his mouth.
