EDIT: This is not the same Apollo...see posts 3 and 4 below, and thanks KIfan1980!

Look at the five day chart, down more than 25 percent in just five days, from $49.91 to $36.58...

Separately, rumors have begun to surface that not only did the unitholders not back Apollo's acquisition of Cedar Fair, but that Apollo had made clear to one Mr. K that his services would no longer be needed if the acquisition proceeded, and some say even the Kinzels themselves then voted against the acquisition...

Terpy - are you sure that this is the same Apollo?

I thought that Apollo Global Management agm.com was the company looking to purchase Cedar Fair. The reference article/stock seems to be Apollo Group apollogrp.edu and their subsidiary Apollo Global apolloglobal.us. I have been unable to find any link (except the similar name).

I do believe you are correct! This is a totally different company, and not managed by Apollo Global Management. I do remember seeing press releases by someone during the proposed Cedar Fair buyout citing the University of Phoenix as being owned by Apollo Global Management, but I just thoroughly researched that matter and find it not to be the case!

Thanks for the correction.

This thread can be deleted if the mods wish, or it can stay to clear others' confusion.

Again, thanks!
