Favorite Curtis D Summers Coaster

Featured Replies

I just thought I would ask what everyone's favorite coaster by Curtis D Summers is. I have been on several of his coasters and I liked all of them.

I will probably have to go with Predator at Darien Lake, I am not a big fan of Mean Streak, the fun factor is almost in the negatives for me.

^ Wait... What does it mean when the fun factor's in the negatives? Instead of you having fun on Mean Streak, Mean Streak is having fun hurting you? wink.gif (I kid.)

Of the Summers coasters, I've been on Mean Streak and Wolverine Wildcat. Mean Streak is... well, Mean Streak, so the nod goes to WW. Besides winning by default, Wildcat also has that really awesome double-down. I've been on Tornado at Stricker's Grove (albeit only in the front car), and it's my personal opinion that Tornado doesn't even know the meaning of "cliff" compared to WW's double-down in the last row. The upstops smacking the track made my ears ring... Happy sigh.

^Negative fun factor meaning, it is more of a pain to ride than it is to have fun. As soon as you come out of the station around the turn you instantly know you are not going to have any fun.

In order favorite to least favorite that I've ridden.

1. Georgia Cyclone

2. Timberwolf

3. Wolverine Wildcat

4. Thunder Run

5. Thunder Road

6. Mean Streak

Well...I didn't think Mean Streak was that bad. It's not the best coaster I've been on, but it wasn't as brutal as I've been made to believe. Who knows, maybe I just hapened to pick the magic seat.
