bkroz Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 The Random Roller Coaster I happened upon when I visited RCDB today had me a little taken aback! Turns out, a Vekoma coaster in Germany that's been called Wirbelwind since 1982 got some new Vekoma trains and new name for 2010! Yep! You won't hear a complaint out of me... As long as their ride is called Speed Snake, ours can't be... Reptile Cage is still an option though! http://www.rcdb.com/1004.htm Try denying that one, Fort Fun. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 LOL it looks like a portable ride. Quote
thatbandguy8807 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 looks like they just want to be as cool as Diamondback....and jealous that they dont have it... Quote
CedarPointer Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Ooooh dearie. Copyright infringement much? Quote
Diamondback96 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Cedar Fair will sue! If only this coaster was in the US (or possibly Canada), though. Quote
thekidd33 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Its good to see that Cedar Fair's innovative ride naming process is being picked up worldwide though! Quote
bkroz Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 Don't worry, I'm sure we'll be seeing Speedhawk sooner rather than later. GYK, still mesmerized by the snake train's lips? Quote
thekidd33 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Think of the revenue that could be made consulting with other parks, ride manufacturers, etc. on their attractions new names! "Fast Metal Thing" "Bumpy Wooden People Mover" "200 Foot Paper Weight" "Flight Deck" "Vortex" "Upside down" The possibilities are endless! Quote

Troikafan Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 It seems that ride names are getting...generic. The people in charge must be running out of creativity. Quote
