Dvo
I'd be curious to see how they do the pre-ride films. That was a really cool ride (and movies!) when I went last January.
TombRaiderFTW
I've never been to SFMM (or any SF park, for that matter), so I don't know how the detheming will be handled... But that is by far the coolest ride name around, in my opinion. Makes me wonder what Six Flags would have done in CF's position with The Crypt. The Interpreter
Interesting. Many, including many enthusiasts, though Terminator was a particularly dumb name for a wooden coaster....
TombRaiderFTW
^ Actually, I meant that I thought "Apocalypse" was cool name for any ride, especially a dethemed Terminator... though in relation to a GCI, I still find the theme a bit odd... if that makes sense. Sorry, I didn't realize how ambiguous that sounded until after I reread your reply.
thunderbeast1968
Wow, seems like a lot of parks are dropping "Movie theme" and/or "character" names and themes. I guess with the copyrights and those fees that are charged, these parks would rather spend their money elsewhere. Coaster ride name changes, Terminator to Apocalypse Top Gun to Flight Deck, Evil Knievel to American Thunder, where does it end? When the movie gets too old and kids have no idea what Top Gun even was, they lose interest. I actually overheard a few kids in line commenting "they have not seen/or care to see the movie" claiming it was probably "lame" I say drop the movie names and come up with a cool name. RingMaster
Interesting. Many, including many enthusiasts, though Terminator was a particularly dumb name for a wooden coaster.... Well, given the circumstances of the movie franchise and the fact that it deals with sentient robots, I can see why people have a hard time understanding why a wooden coaster would be themed to said movie franchise. However, given that some wooden coasters can be pretty rough *cough*Mean Streak*cough* and completely mangle your insides, it would be understandable why a wooden roller coaster would be named Terminator.
