They're holding auditions for Kings Island, Kings Dominion, and Worlds of Fun in Sandusky? Seems inconvenient to me.

Many of the performers who perform in the shows at Kings Island every year are NOT locals. There are a few locals, but if you read the signs out front of the shows that highlights the performers names, it also lists their hometowns.

And why did I post this here? Because fans of KI can live anywhere...and may want to audition...Why...I even know this huge fan of Six Flags New Jersey who lives closer to Maple Grove....

^Exactly. Holding auditions in different regions helps get the talent in. There may be people going to school in northern Ohio that are from southwest Ohio that will be spending their summer here, and the Sandusky auditions are more logistically possible for them. Or there are those that may want a change of scenery from where they've been.

I'm not an expert on the entertainment recruitment process of parks, so I learned something new today. I guess it'd be a bit crazy to think they got all of the talent from one area alone.

I auditioned a few years ago...just for acting...I soon relized that there was no real room (at least when I auditioned) for anyone that can't sing and dance...I can hold a tune but not near as good as the preformers at the park.
