Aaron Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 While I have to admit those are some cool photos, I also should say that I wouldn't be suprised to see that site shutdown, or at least get 90% of the photos removed, once the parks are made aware of these "illegal" photos. Quote
carpetarson Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 humm. i don't know how i feel about this i know there illegal but in a way Kings Island is getting some free publicty someone might look at those and be like man that looks sweet im def. going there. but the more i think about it the more i do think its wrong. i don't think the site should be shutdown. derbeast Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 I see no one had the balls to take a camera on Dragster. I hope they tried it and got impaled in the face with it. Quote
adam12 Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 The pics were not taken on the rides, just in line, on the walk ways, and in the tower. Like the park can take your family photos from you... LOL. I believe they only get upset because you are in harms way if you take pics while riding. If they don't want crap like this to happen, just prohibit all cameras in the park! -adam12 Quote
keithandmissy Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 The pictures are on the rides... pictures with track directly in front of you usually mean you are seated on a train. Quote
coasterbilly Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 yeah it's hard to get a picture of that ride, it is so hidden that some people ask what it is because they really can't see it. I think the on ride photos of that coaster could have like the logo on the cover, not just plain white. Quote

Solid Snake Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 Them are some great pics. This person must have an expensive camera o be taking such high quality pics. I wouldn't want to risk my camera. While I have to admit those are some cool photos, I also should say that I wouldn't be suprised to see that site shutdown, or at least get 90% of the photos removed, once the parks are made aware of these "illegal" photos. Would you please explain to me why they are "illegal?" You got me curious. I see no one had the balls to take a camera on Dragster. I hope they tried it and got impaled in the face with it. Looks like Dragster to me. Quote
Aaron Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 Onride photos taken by riders without permission from the park are usually considered illegal because it violates the park's ride safety rules. Usually if you are caught taking onride photos without permission (and you most likely will never get permission) you are immediately asked to leave the park. Sometimes it goes to the extreme that you may even be banned from a particular park. Quote
AZ Kinda Guy Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 And people wonder why coaster enthusiasts have such a bad name..... Quote

Technically it is illegal by Ohio State Law O.R.C 1711.551 states that guest are to follow safe conduct rules. Any guest in violation of posted or verbal saftey rules can be found guilty of a misdemeanor. Kings Island is very strict on camera policys. Other parks such as Holiday World have stated they will ban people breaking park rules reguardless of the park, including those who take cameras on rides without permission. Quote
SOB/Gun Steve-O Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Yeah what FoF said. It is illegal, though I personally have never seen this law enforced, it has to be posted at the entrance of each ride, also part of Ohio state law. Quote
SixFlagsMasta Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 i've taken a few pics while on the second lift. and there was a chick sitting at the top of the lift on that little thingy. she didn't seem to care (not that i recommend doing this). but yea usually the park doens't allow this unless you ask. SOB/Gun Steve-O Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Yes. As Tiny will learn, all ride operators are trained to immediately detonate the ride if we ever see anyone trying to take these kinds of pictures. Quote
