I had some vacation left so I decided to spend the day at KI. I got to the park around 9 and the gates opened around 9:30 in time for ERT. I started off at Diamondack without much of a wait. I sat in row 2 which is one of my favorite places to sit because you get the nice view in front without the wait for the front seat. I then rode The Beast, again without much of a wait. I rode in the second to last row and it provided a very nice ride. At this point the park was ready to open and I met up with some friends who have younger kids. We split up so the older of the two kids could ride some of the bigger rides with me. We started off at Firehawk but soon found out it wasn't open just yet because it was finishing it's morning tests, so we rode Flight of Fear. Since this was the first time Joey had been on FOF I thought he would enjoy it more in the front seat and he was not disappointed.

After FOF, Firehawk opened and we waited about 15 minutes. Again this was a first ride for him and he enjoyed it, although not as much as FOF. We rode FOF again since we were so close and the lines were still short. We then proceeded to Vortex, The Beast, and then met up for lunch at the Rivertown Junction. This was my first time there, and I was pleasantly surprised by the food and how nice the staff was. I would definitely go there again with it's nice selection of food and desserts. The kids wanted to see Boomerang Bay and with just eating lunch decided that wasn't a bad idea and took the train over. It was my first time on the train in years and loved the views of Diamondback. We weren't prepared to swim, so we just spent time looking around at the different slides and shops. It was definitely more crowded over there then on the dry side.

I couldn't get many pictures with the DB train though.

After the train we split up again. We rode Diamondback, Adventure Express, Viking Fury, and Racer. At this point they had to leave, but I think we were able to do quite a bit in 3 1/2 hours. I decided to spend some more time and rode Diamondback this time in row 14 which is another great place to ride. I love the air time the back provides and again without the longer wait for row 16. It was off to Drop Tower next where the itch to ride Skyflyer got me. It had been around 6 years since I rode Skyflyer and it's definitely one of the scariest rides for me with Skyscraper at Cedar Point being another. I decided to ride Invertigo before leaving since that's one of my favorites in the park.

Overall it was great way to spend my birthday. I did not see WindSeeker cycle at all when I was there. Hopefully it will be open soon.

Thanks for reading and hope i didn't put anyone to sleep, but this was my first trip report. Below are some more pictures:
