KIfan1980
My ongoing belief is that KI is out of line when it comes to quality for the cost in areas like parking and food What constitutes this "quality parking" you speak of? Parking seems pretty cut and dry to me...just give me a lot to park in which my car won't get hit when people pull out, can be easily navigated, and won't get a flat tire traveling through the lot... Your definition seems to catch what I'd consider minimally acceptable - this should be available at a minimal price. A balance of cost and quality would include a lot that is well maintained, has good signage or people providing directions, and has efficient traffic flow during peak times. For above average, add things like transportation, landscaping, security, etc. And no, I don't pay for parking as I have a pass, but that just goes back to my belief that KI is too cheap when it comes to passes/discounted admissions. Tanna
Your legs are longer, Standbyme. As a tired kid after the fireworks, that parking lot was as big as the country, and Quickdraw McGraw lot was centuries away. It's better to dump a potato sack of a tired kid on the tram seat than the have to lug it to the car at the end of the day. KIFan I support your saying the passes and discounts are too cheap. Cutting down on the price that way leads to higher prices elsewhere. I don't pack lunches and eat in the parking lot, but that might become a necessity, if I go again. Hell, I should really just stand by the sign and hire myself out as a car watcher and make some dough.
Browntggrr
One post was one man reporting that several cars had been broken into. I am surprised that there have not been police reports of the cars being into. Even when I Googled it, nothing came up- which leads me to believe the stories are fabricated (which we all know never happens on the internet ). Tanna
I dunno. I'll double check, and ask him. (Getting info from FB right now.) From Venezuela, had ipod and camera stolen, (this is from his first email) and emailed the company several times, with no response. Being that it happened in KI's parking lot, I would suspect there would be a record, though. I'll ask him if he has printed on the internet information of his theft, after all, that's the only proof something happened. I do know that my theft wasn't published, nor was the first theft I friended, nor many of the others. I googled it right now, didn't get anything on my incident, yet, it happened. it might help to go to Mason's "The Pulse", a weekly paper. My theft didn't make the Pulse, either. Sorry to hear you couldn't find it. Perhaps it's all a ruse. I'm purposely not affording to go to the park out of a vast white ring conspiracy. I can assure you about what happened to me. I didn't make it up, I don't know how else to prove it to you. After all, it may not show up on Google, which is the barometer of reality. Perhaps it's considered an internal affair at the park? Perhaps, like KIPR, they work to keep the thefts under the radar?

Lately my nephews are always good at getting a "shoulder ride" out to the resort bus...so the lot doesn't seem that big to them...yet! P.S. We always tried to get in Scooby's lot. I secretly despised Funky Phantom, and hated when we were in his lot. Kid logic kills me. It's funny how going to your car, you realize how tired you are, especially when you are a kid. I can confirm that the police blotter in the Pulse Journal Mason edition has had several reports of thefts from cars in the KI parking lot - along with reports of thefts from BB (I've quoted those reports a couple of times in the BB thread). Doesn't mean that every story is true however.
4runneradam
I wish they still had the little tram that took you across the parking lot

Yes, it's best to keep open eyes, both ways. 4runneradam, It would be great to have the little trams. Even though I wouldn't be using them, it would help other customers greatly.
