Platinum Pass Upgrade Question

Featured Replies

Hey Guys, I have a question

I have Kings Island Season Gold Passes this year and since I am making my very first visit to Cedar Point, I did the math and decided that it would be cheaper to get a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass. I was told I can upgrade my gold pass by just paying the difference. My question is am I going to have to get them re-processed? Like my picture retaken and personal info retaken, or will they just transfer the photo and info? My whole family is upgrading, so basically, would they all have to be there?

I really have no idea. A lot of people here will probably know more than me. But probably what we can all agree on is that it'd be best to call the park and ask... They're the only ones who absolutely 100% know for sure. But yeah, the Platinum Pass is a really good deal, especially with parking!

Yes, the passes must be re-processed, or so I have been told. More importantly, the upgrade can only be done at the park where the original passes were purchased, for fairly obvious reasons. As always, call the park for official information.

When I upgraded my Gold Pass to Platinum back in May, they simply transferred my info and photo over to the new pass. I didn't have to get my photo taken again or anything like that; I just handed the ticket to the processing clerk, and he scanned it, scanned the new pass, had me sign the back, and I was good to go.
