kingsrattler
Has anyone seen the QR Code that has been posted on Carowinds sight? Got the below picture from screamscape.. which looks like a compilation of jpegs that get sent from the QR Code. I guess we will be getting an announcement from Carowinds on August 24th? Also the background of the qr code on their website talks about flying.. Screamscape seems to think it's going to be a WindSeeker.
jdawg1998
If this is a WindSeeker, then Cedar Fair obviously does not understand that it is already in four parks.
Elkman
Wow, Cedar Fair seems to be get ready for a very busy offseason!
kingsrattler
I would dare say a majority of people who go to Carowinds have never heard of Kings Island. Cedar Point? Yeah maybe, but its a 9 hour drive. When I was at Carowinds last year I had plenty of people ask me what Kings Island was. Just because "enthusiasts" like to go from park to park to ride different rides, doesn't mean that's what the general public does. Shoot, I even know people who like the different views CP's WindSeeker and KI's WindSeeker offers. So is it a bad move if they add a WindSeeker? IMO, no. KI FANATIC 37
So is it a bad move if they add a WindSeeker? IMO, no. For enthusiasts, yes. But for GP no. Not meaning to be Debby Downer...
kingsrattler
I for one would be happy to see WindSeeker at Carowinds. I like riding Kings Island's. I like riding Cedar Point's. I would definitely consider myself an enthusiast. And you never know it might not be WindSeeker. That's just what screamscape thinks. RingMaster
Taken from Screamscape.com: ^ Another QR code from the park, this time placed inside the actual park close to the Carolina Cobra. And, is it just me, or does that metal structure at the bottom look just a wee bit familiar? ^ Well, whaddya know? Looks like Carowinds is set to Seek Wind in 2012. Let the coaster enthusiast rage COMMENCE!
kingsrattler
You could at least give screamscape some recognition for using their pictures, haha, let alone, saying exactly what he did.
RingMaster
I forgot to add the 'Taken from Screamscape' line at the top. Fix'd now.

If they are getting WindSeeker (which by the looks of things they are) maybe they won't have as many issues since Carowinds will have 4 other installs to learn from. Titan
And if they get lucky, they can name it Overdue. But it's nice to see Carowinds getting some attention in the flat ride section.

CoasterGeek101
Wow. Did Cedar Fair already learn from their mistakes about the other rides? They ALL opened late, right? I think it is a great addition for Carowinds, but I hope they got it fixed with Mondial.
RingMaster
The only reason why Knott's opened late is because SOMEONE up in the office decided they didn't want the Sky Cabin to go bye-bye and moved the Windy Seeker to its current location at the last second. Like, February last second. Also, they didn't have the luxury of working in the off-season and needed to work around daily crowds.
CodyDL
This is already a topic being discussed. I know a lot of people on KIC get aggravated when the same thing is being discussed on two different topics. Just trying to help http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24214
Guest PizzaBaby027
The more I think of it I kinda like seeing a WindSeeker in all parks. Gives all the parks something in common besides the company its owned by. All parks have a WindSeeker, and this is where I draw the line on generic in parks.
