Granted, the website does say it's "fine dining," with: one of the following: crab legs; lobster tail & petite filet mignon; char-grilled filet mignon with bearnaise sauce; or shrimp, scallop & lobster pasta Alfredo. Meals include salad, twice-baked potato, buttered asparagus spears, rolls & butter, our "surprise" dessert, a glass of wine or beer and assorted Pepsi beverages. So basically, a "nice" entree, a baked potato, a salad, rolls, and a glass of wine or beer. The cost? Meal is $68.95 per person and includes tax & gratuity. WOOF. Don't places like Busch Gardens and Universal offer a comparable "haunted dining" experience that also includes being the first in a number of houses, etc. that still doesn't cost that much? I'd forego the fancy food and settle for hamburgers if it cost me $25 or so... Geez! I can get SIX of that exact, described meal at Red Lobster for that price! EDIT: My first search revealed that Busch Gardens Tampa has their "Fright Feast" which includes: all-you-can-eat-buffet an exclusive showing of their new stage show early access to houses front-of-the-line pass for houses good until 8:30 Their cost? ... $25.00. Lobster Alfredo- 20.25, asparagus 2.25 extra, desert 6-8 dollars, Glass of wine 6-8 dollars (biscuits are included with your meal, so there is no price on them) So we come to 35 to 40 bucks before tax and Gratuity.. after tax and gratuity, depending on service and how much of a scrooge you are, you are looking at around 50 bucks a person for the same meal. Still, let's just say I can get FIVE Red Lobster dinners for the price of one Cedar Point one, or FOUR Red Lobster dinners for the price of one Cedar Point one... I'm afraid I've forgotten your point haha. My point was that an arguably better Halloween event has an arguably better dinner package for nearly one third the price, and theirs includes early access to houses, a front of the line pass, and exclusive seating at a show... Do you think that your meal is made fresh in that building, or is it re-heated in a back corner room after having been brought over from the Midway Market? I maintain my point that I can go to Red Lobster and get some popcorn shrimp with biscuits, two sides, and unlimited refillable beverages plus tip for around $15.00. And honestly, that's plenty. But if someone out there truly feels the need to pay $70 PLUS ADMISSION TO THE PARK to have crab legs before a haunted house, I suppose that's their choice. I'd be more than happy to partake in the $25.00, regular-ole-buffet plus early access and front of the line passes at Busch Gardens. It's about perceived value. I was trying to prove that $70 is a ridiculous amount to pay for one meal PER PERSON at a theme park. I guess you disagree? But I maintain my stance! Haha. But I also think its ridiculous to buy the same meal at Red Lobster for 50 bucks but to someone who likes seafood, it might seem like a nice trade off to not have to leave the park. Blood on the Bayou is a walk thru attraction so its not like a Reg maze ware you stand in line for a peroid of time!! the park was PACKED on sat but got all the stuff I wanted to in 6 hours!! i must say i got some Epic night rides on Maggie on sat!! im glad the haunt season has started im headed to Dorney Park on friday and Great Adventure sat and sunday!! That saves me from doing one since we were together most of the time! How was you experience, don't keeps us in the dark. (even though you were!) Good one! Yes, I was quite literally in the dark... In the course of 2 hours on Friday and ERT through Close on Saturday, we made it through all the haunts at least once and a good amount of rides in (yes rotag, I rode Blue Streak, and it was running better than I've ever felt it before!). As always, the stand out haunts were Eerie Estate, Terror Island and CornStalkers (I scared the group in line in front of us at CornStalkers... all it took was shaking one of the cornstalks next to the queue. I'll let MF2000CMH tell you what happened in CornStalkers that made us laugh). I was a little disappointed with Happy Jack's this year... we got there right after it opened on Saturday so maybe they weren't in their groove yet. CarnEvil seemed to step it up a notch, or it could be that it was just better because they terrorized one specific person in our group after someone gave the clowns their name. And no, I wasn't the culprit, but I know who was! On Friday when we went through Terror Island, we were the last ones to enter. I guess we took too long because we were talking to one of the Screamsters when all of a sudden the lights go out. And I mean ALL the lights. It was so dark on the island that we got our cell phones out for light. Security came along shortly with flashlights and led us out... and that's when we saw Phantom Theater. StalkerChick was expecting him this time (after he got her good last year... I didn't tell her he was in there and then he started calling her by name ). So unfortunately he didn't get a good scare in with us, but it's always nice to see someone else from here hard at work doing what we love. Maniacal Mechanical Screamworks is a retheme of Fright Zone, but with the exception of new costumes and some steampunk props, not much seems to have changed. It was good before and is still good. Mr. Skull wasn't ready on Friday night, and when we stopped to watch him on Saturday, you could barely make out anything that he said. They need to adjust the effects on the microphone. Last year Mr. Skull was much better; we watched his crowd interaction for a long time, and he started referring to our group as his groupies. This year Mr. Giggles (at least that's what another Screamster told us was the name of the "garbage can guy") provided us with some great laughs with his scares. Blood on the Bayou was decent. No real scares in there for us though. There was a butcher in there, who I referred to as my Cajun butcher brethren, who was so intent on playing out a scene and not interacting with the guests. That would have been fine if he had served as a distraction and had a partner do the scare, but there was no partner and all he did was stay under his canopy and chop meat. It was great to spend time with good friends at a place we all like. Working Haunt takes away from being able to visit other haunted attractions in the area, so I love that CP opens their's a week before we do. Rides by day + haunts by night = FUN! However, their idea of walkthroughs (Terror Island, Blood on the Bayou) is a great idea, especially on a very crowded Saturday night. It was nice to be able to do something fun without a major wait. I gotta say that, even though I've usually liked the CF Haunt commercials, the new Halloweekends ones are really stinking cool. They're much more centered on featuring the pluses of Cedar Point specifically, rather than recycling the same old KBF footage they've been using the past few years. To be specific, they actually showed some creepy shots of an old swamp shack to advertise Blood on the Bayou. I like it! Now, if only they'd rename Worlds of Fun's Haunt... I couldn't really take their commercials seriously. There's just something too lighthearted about "Halloween Haunt at Worlds of Fun! All you fear is here." (Why not call it Worlds of Fear?)
