Stunning Footage

Recommended Posts

So... It always intrigues me how, when screamscape.com is updated with stories containing links to outside screamscape, users will then post the news story on KICentral.com and provide the outside link without mentioning they stumbled upon it on screascape. That has never been my policy, and as such, before I continue, I would just like to make it known that, what I am about to mention, I saw on screamscape. (and that when users at KICentral.com do the previously mentioned little stunt, it annoys me - but thats just me)

ANYWAY...

Screamscape has posted a link

http://www.screamscape.com/html/six_flags_over_texas.htm

to some really incredible, not your every day, footage of Texas Giant, shot with a small HD camcorder and a remote control helicopter. The footage is quite stunning, not only the ride, but the quality is superb and the time of day in which it was shot was beautiful. It is something that clearly took some thought and time to do, and I appreciated it so I thought I would share it (for that one user here at KICentral.com that doesnt check screamscape). I certainly don't mean this as a dig to the people who maintain this website and create and edit videos for all of us to view, but there is nothing comparable in the KICentral.com video library that comes close to this.

You should check it out!

I have to say I think that it's internet etiquette to post the link to the original not to where you found it with a credit like "found via screamscape." It's the original poster who deserves the credit for creating the content then uploading for our viewing. Besides you can only view this video in HD if you go to vimeo anyway.

That being said great footage, thanks for posting. Great video for showing off the vimeo app on my tv.

I try to mention that I found it via Screamscape when I post a link to an outside source, but Screamscape in turn heard it from a "source" or "friend" who heard it from so-and-so, so it's just an endless chain of credit anyway. I think it's appropriate to mention that you heard of it via Screamscape, but to link to the original site... I don't know.
