Is anyone going to Boomerang Bay opening day?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I was just wondering if there was a media day for BB and if there is, who is going?

Also, who all is going to BB on the opening day??

If it's as hot and as sunny as it has been for the past week or two, I think the Island could see some pretty good business opening day for Boomerang Bay. Will I be going? HA...apparently school is FAR too important than having fun...

1.) Of course they are having a media day. Only the "MEDIA" is invited, well and those who attended the ACE NoCoaster event in January. So its not very likely many people on here will be going that day, unless they are a life guard or work in food service or merch.

2.) I will be there cause I'll be working. Don't know if I'll be at the bar or one of the walk around waiters.

If opening day is after May 27th, I'll probably be there. As much as I hate being seen in a bathing suit, it is getting super hot outside, and I could care less. Either I'm going to BB, or I'm staying on Congo Falls' bridge for a good hour, maybe hour and a half... on the sides.

Im not going to be there because personally im not that much into swimming or water slides.

If I`m not mistaken, the Goldpass preview weekend for Boomerang Bay (the 22 and 23 of May). I believe that the media preview is the Friday before BB opens to the public.

In that case, I may come on the 23rd. I'm doing a closing on the 22nd, so I may not make it. But I'm only coming for wipeout beach and the wavepool. I hate slides.

Media Preview is on May 27th, a Thursday. I had to ask off my other job just so I could work at PKI that day.

I'll be there both days for passholder weekend, working doubles to ensure that the stores run efficiently. Don't know about media day though, got classes that I definitely cannot miss on that day. Maybe though if I am lucky I can actually ride something that weekend, as I've seen the attractions run and they look and sound like a ton of fun.

TraderJake, it sound like you have seen BB, which at this point, all the construction should be wrapping up. What do you think of the waterpark now? How does Kookaburra Bay look? I`m glad to hear that the new attractions look and sound fun. Only about one more week before gold pass holders can catch a glimps of BB.

The waterpark, in a short sense is neat. Lot's of colors, lots of atmosphere, lots of fun. It definitely isn't that old waterpark you remember from the past, it definitely has changed. How much so? Well, in one week, I am sure you will see.
