So far this year, I have seen:

1) a child needing rescued by lifeguards, and after the save, the guards had difficulty finding the parents, who ended up being on some chairs away from the pool.

2) a parent watching his 2 children repeatedly running through the flowers, in a game of follow the leader, in the planter in front of the Soak City changing room, while the parent remained on his cell phone watching the game of "trample the flowers".

I watched some kids play under the trees in front of the "old" ticket booth for the Dino Alive 3D movie, I kept watching for a parent, never saw one, the kids continued to run around and roll in that area..

I don't know if this is true, but I've heard of parents leaving the park and forgetting their kids...

It's true. And in some sad cases, "forgetting."

Very sad. Happens at Disney, too. Kept as quiet as possible to avoid "copycats."

On a lesser scale, some use the park as a cheap baby-sitting service.

I tend to just enjoy my day at the park, and tune out the other folks. I devote my attention to the friends or family that I am with.

That said, I am most bothered by the parents that dump their unruly Teens at the park and leave them. Only problems we have ever incurred at the park has been caused by groups of said Teens
