First Rides

Featured Replies

Just wondering what everyone rode first so far this season. If you haven't been to PKI so far, just put what you want to ride first. As for me id like to ride Vortex first.

My first ride of this season was The Beast. It was on 5/8/04. It was an awesome ride since I hadn't been on a roller coaster since last season. It was pure sweetness. My second ride was The Racer. biggrin.gif

My last trip was around 7/5/03. My first ride hten was The Vortex. Second was The Beast

Drop zone back in march when they were training us... it was like 30 degrees outside talk about a rush on the way down

my own rides, tower and carousel, back in like early early march, when they trained the sups. As for anything else, well, I have yet to visit the park (this season) as a "guest". Too much school, teaching, work, classes, etc.

Delirium...it was my first ride at the Island last year and shall be my first this year. Nothing beats the *delirious* feeling of four and a half gravity forces at 72 miles an hour from 137 feet in the air pulling your face right off your head!

Racer-on 4/9. I came back on 4/10 when I rode much more extensively, and learned that riding The Beast while soaking wet when it's 50 degrees out is a BAD idea. One sarcastic game stand operator commented "Weren't you dry the last time you walked by here?".

It's actually 76mph, but you are right it is an unbelievable ride.

First Ride this season: Beast. It caught me off guard on the first drop, which produced a classic look of terror. Too bad I couldn't afford the ORP. sad.gif
