Kings Island 7-15-12

Today, I made my 3rd visit to an amusement park this week. (I went to Indiana Beach on Wednesday, and hope to get a PTR up sometime this week) My dad suggested we could go, if my sister Lucy would try out Flight of Fear. This will be his first KI visit this season. So, he sleeps in, and suggested it after the park opened. So, we got to the park a bit after 11, and headed to FOF.

I was expecxting a 30 minute - 1 hour wait. They had all the switchbacks in the outdoor queue filled, and the sign posted said about a 45 minute wait. I was expecting none of the extra lines in the indoor queue to be filled. So, we all waited for my Lucy's first ever Flight of Fear ride. When we got inside, the air was nice, and there was no extra part of the queue being used. Soon, we got on, me and my mom got the back row, and Lucy and my dad were right in front of us. We waited about 35 minutes.

"All clear! goodbye", and we launched. It was just pure Flight of Fear goodness. a great ride, as always. Dad said we could see the 2 o'clock Ed Alonzo show, and it was about noon. We headed to The Beast to pass the time.

The line didn't look to bad. It was just a little down the stairs from the station, and looked to be about 10 minutes. When we were in line, it rained a little. Luckily, 10 minutes later, when we got on the ride, the rain had stopped. All 4 of us rode in non-wheel seats, in the middle of the cars. As always, it was an amazing ride, and my dad praised the ride not being so shaky. The middle of the car + some offseason track work = a not so bumpy ride. It was still a bit till the show started, so we headed to The Racer.

There was no line, and both sides were running. Me and my dad took 2nd row on the Red Racer and my mom and Lucy took 2nd row on the Blue Racer. It was a walk on, and we went. The Blue was a bit ahead of the Red, but from my Coasting For Kids expiriences, the Red would still win. For some reason, on the 4th hill, the Red Racer speeds ahead, and ends of up winning. So, of course we won, and it wasn't too bumpy. The Red Racer has seemed less shaky then Blue this year. There was STILL time to spare, so we headed to Adventure Express.

Surprising all of us was a short line, that was about 10 minutes. Me and my dad took the next to back row, and my mom and Lucy were in front of me. It was a nice ride, and all the themeing and sound effects I believe were working. It was a nice ride, and now we headed to Ed Alonzo.

My 9 year old sister Lucy was getting cranky and wanted to spoil my fun and leave soon, so after the magic show we would leave. Right before the doors for the show opened, they informed us that they are opening up the left and right doors, and not the middle door. (which is the one we were waiting for) So, we still got a second row seat.

It was a nice show, and it seems like they really haven't changed much anything sense June 10th. Still a nice show. Now we left the park, after only a few hours.

A couple notes:

*Shake Rattle And Roll was down today. Hopefully it's just a small issue, and will be opened back up soon.

*Delirium was still down. No idea when it will run.

^^ She really wouldn't say. She wasn't crying, like on Rock 'N' Rollercoaster a few years back, but we all asked if she liked it, and she wouldn't say. She's wierd. We've got our Huss Guant Frisbee and Huss Troika down. Hopefully SR&R will open soon, hopefully it was just something for that day,

^ I also enjoy SR&R, but haven't gotten a ride on it yet this year.
