I have heard it is possible for an incident like this to happen, but it is very rare.
Thrill_Biscuit
Is that park covered under some kind of "purchaser acknowledges risk" clause?
Voicetek
Hundreds of thousands of dollars to treat her injuries? How far did she fall and what did she hit? I was in a pretty bad car accident where I was t-boned, the front of a van ran into my driver's side door. My car was totalled and I was taken to a hospital via ambulance. I had back and neck injuries as well as head trauma and a concussion. I had multiple tests and treatments, chiropractic care for 5 months and physical therapy for another 3 months. My medical bills were only in the tens of thousands. It's hard to imagine falling backwards from the Jungle Cruise ride would would result in hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills. I don't know, maybe it was worse than it comes across.
Jr for Birdy
I love the jungle cruise ride and have a hard time understanding how this happened if it did and they were actually following the rules.Sounds like you had to be there to really know what happened. The Interpreter
I am reminded of a common newspaper disclaimer: Claims made in a lawsuit tell only one side of a story.
