westcoaster
Quick trip Report: Wet N Wild Las Vegas; Myself being able to go to the orginal Wet N Wild in Las Vegas, that one you cannot compare to the new one, like comparing apples to oranges. Great Start to something Las Vegas has wanted this Wet N Wild (same owners as Hawaii, and Phoenix). This time in the suburbs way out in the desert valley. We went Saturday 5/25/2013, Opening day, where memorial day is only open to gold season pass holders throught Monday the 27th of May 2013. Regular season pass holders can go on Tuesday, and then in June day ticketers will be accepted. The park is great, built well, and will be a staple in the park for a long time. On this trip the lazy river was nice, typical lazy river zero entry was nice, no tubes (unless you are a gold pass holder, or rent one. ). Lockers were all electronic wristband you put on your wrist all day for a good size locker about ten dollars. The Kids area was incredible,(built on a island surrounded by the lazy river). and the wave pool went to a depth of about 5ft 11 in, with good waves. The entrance to the park is done by scanning your season pass and a finger ID. Great park, and nice addition to the desert, well needed addition to the Vegas Valley.
westcoaster
This also happened: Season Passes & Gold PassesThe demand for season passes to Wet'n'Wild Las Vegas has been so overwhelming we've stopped selling both our Gold Passes and Season Pass for the season. We hope you understand, but this decision was made to ensure our current pass holders and future guests can enjoy a world-class water park experience throughout our 2013 Season http://www.wetnwildlasvegas.com/#block-1
westcoaster
Demand has been very high, and thus far only open to Gold Pass Holders, so time will see how this place gets. But the Slides are very in demand, :The moose out front should have told you"
VortexBFForever
Wet n' Wild sounds like a great place to visit! (I've never been there) I think you summed it up pretty well in this short-and-sweet TR.
westcoaster
Another great article on Wet N Wild las vegas (Orlando is not the same Wet N Wild) hawaii and Phoenix are. Enjoy the article! http://www.inparkmagazine.com/whitewater-west-attractions-showcased-at-new-wet-n-wild-las-vegas/?fb_source=pubv1
westcoaster
Tried another time today (about 5 times now), well it was packed they started letting groups in they had 12 (11 of them schools), the middleschoolers could not even use the wave pool with out life jackets. Remembering they don't let you have tubes for lazy river or wave pool, people kept wanting my tube over and over again asking, no we rented it (free with season pass holder), oh well. Crowds are bad parking still bad. (they just gave 30 spots to the county park they donated). so a paid gate (free for season gold pass), but the parking spots that were already cramped now for a park next door. The lazy river and wave pool are great (especially with 112 degrees in vegas).
