August 25, 201312 yr Nice to see this one again. I loved that coaster. And, of course, it hearkens back to a more care-free era (for me) - nostalgia!
August 25, 201312 yr Even when I was really young I remember thinking why does The Vortex station resemble an old creepy house when the logo and everything else about it seemed so futuristic. It made sense when I found out that it was the same station for The Bat.
August 25, 201312 yr It's a cool showing of how different it was as a ride. It's hard to describe to people who hadn't rode it just how unique it was. Thanks for the video.
August 25, 201312 yr Can't help but think that Banshee is in some way a nod to The Bat. Speaking of which... "Kings Island is going to be building a new looping steel roller coaster with a name inspired by yelling spirits!"
August 25, 201312 yr The yelling came later, perhaps because of two parks named Great. So before the yelling, the names were inspired by only spirits? I can't imagine "Invermouthtigo", "Son of Beerst" or "The Chaser" would go over too well with Cedar Fair nowadays.
