coasterdime
Not trying to start a rumor or anything, but it looked like they are setting forms for a foundation, right around where the fireworks are shot. In the last two days, I've noticed plenty of trucks (and work guys) back there. Are they just building a better place to shoot fireworks? BoddaH1994
Ah, there are trucks back there a lot. There are buildings and stuff that I assume are for storage. I guess an employee would be able to tell you better than I would.

I haven't seen any come into the park.
7D Rules
Where exactly is this work going on? I'm not real sure where you are referring to?
coasterdime
Where exactly is this work going on? I'm not real sure where you are referring to? They activity is just behind the forward Racer's turnaround....immediately behind F/X. Also, this much activity is unusual. I've ridden The Racer a few hundred times this season, (really) and this activity is different. As far as cement trucks go, I just saw the forms....so it might be just a little early to be looking for cement trucks. From what I could quickly gather, the foundation seems to be on the small side. I really don't think it's too much to get excited about...but my curiosity is piqued.
BoddaH1994
Yeah, not to mention that for all we know they could be building a new warehouse back there or something. Plus, it probably wouldn't hurt to announce a new ride now considering that 2004 season passes are on sale now. Before they start construction of anything new, I think we'll know about it. Dane
There are buildings and stuff that I assume are for storage. They are matainance building's. More detailed, wood coaster matainance building. I have been in them, they arnt that big. Might just be a bigger one being built.
Solid Snake
LMFBO, my friend saw some lawn care crews behind The Racer... maybe they are starting the construction for the new coaster. ( Ya told me "Casa")

DragonLord
There are a lot of storage spaces built behind The Racer and the park's water treatment plant. They are probably just building more storage, probably for Tech Services since they work out of the basement of FX Theater...
Beastfreak
Well there has been stuff going on back there for a while. No there are not "forms" back there. There is a dumpster and a road back there, so that would explain trucks. The dumpster is used for many things, some of which is to dispose of wood taken off The Racer. If there was actual working going on you would see like semi's and bull dozers.
coasterdime
Actually, there are "forms" back there! I think they are just pouring a slab for something. The activity is NOT where the pole barns are....I know what they are, I've been in them many times. Also, if I saw heavy const. there, I wouldn't have bothered to ask anyone here. As I said in my opening post, this was very obviously NOTHING MAJOR. I actually debated with myself about even posting anything at all. I'm lucky enough to be at the park AT LEAST 5 times a week....often enough to notice something out of the ordinary. I've been enjoying this park since 1975... PKI even employs a fair number of family members (which lets me enjoy a ton of extras) I have enjoyed idle [construction related or not] speculation since then. Sorry if some of you are "above" sharing observations....
Beastfreak
They activity is just behind the forward Racer's turnaround....immediately behind F/X. And that is the area I'm talking about. No forms. I swear.
Magic41445
Speaking of land near The Racer and possible forms...there is a quite noticelble yet small footing located to the left of The Racer's queue, just behind the new latter game and plush animal storage. It seems to have been in place ever since slightly before the construction of the new game, with orange netting around it. I'm sure that it's nothing big though. I cannot really forsee anything placed in that area unless they sacrifice The Racer and AE lol.
