Notification Problem

Featured Replies

So on my user control panel I checked off on receiving emails for when someone quotes me, send me a private message, stuff like that. I don't get them any more what should I do?

Check the actual website more often :P

Honestly I never had the boxes checked so I couldn't tell you, however Tapatalk does a great job with notifications

I don't either. Never have.

I used to get emails but it just stopped one day.

Have you changed email addresses? Have you checked your spam box?

Same email, I checked the spam box and most were from here how do I get it to recognize it as not spam?

That depends on which e-mail service you use. There's most likely a "not spam" button that will move a message to the Inbox and prevent similar messages from going to Spam in the future.

Alternatively, add donotreply@KICentral.com to your contact list, and e-mails from the forum should not be seen as spam.

I don't get email notifications, but I get the onsite notifications. Similar to Facebook, on this site's notification icon (a bell) whenver I get a notifications a number appears on the icon to tell me how many notifications I have. I like this system, since I can quickly and easily see my notifications.

What does it notify you about?

I only get a red dot next to the envelope when I get a PM.

If someone adds me as a friend or, most often, whenever one of my posts gets liked I receive a notification. Then if I feel like it I can click on the words "a post you made" (out of the phrase "<insert username> liked a post you made in <insert thread name>" and it takes me to the post that was liked. It's a handy feature, but I remember having to select something in my settings that allowed me to receive the notifications.
